Please read it carefully before use to ensure proper functionality and to understand all features. 2. Hardware Description

The GPS tracker unit features a SIM card slot and status indicator lights for GPS, Power, and GSM. The device is designed for robust vehicle tracking and monitoring.

3. Terminal Installation

  1. Please ask a qualified engineer to install the device.
  2. The installation environment should ensure good GSM and GPS signals.
  3. Do not install the device in a dusty or humid environment.
  4. Find the 12PIN wiring harness provided with the product, insert it into the corresponding wiring hole of the product, and connect to the original car circuit as shown in the Wiring Diagram below.
  5. The pink wire can be connected to the original car alarm horn or an alarm horn purchased separately.
  6. Understand that the vehicle door trigger type is either positive or negative. Connect to the green wire if it is positive trigger, and to the blue wire if it is negative trigger.
  7. Please install the SOS button where the driver can easily reach it.
  8. SIM Card Installation:
    • Open the sealed buckle of the SIM card slot.
    • Insert the SIM card.
    • Close the sealed buckle.
    • Ensure the SIM card network frequency band is supported by the device.
    • Caller ID must be turned on and the PIN code must be turned off.
    • Call forwarding function cannot be turned on.
  9. After inserting the SIM card, connect the positive (red) and negative (black) wires of the power supply to the 12V or 24V power supply of the car. Wait for the device to work normally after 1 minute of power-on.

This GPS Tracker supports multiple management methods for convenience and flexibility.

5.1 Mobile APP

Download APP: Scan the QR code below or search "BAANOOL IOT" on Google Play or App Store.

Register: Open the BAANOOL IOT app, register a new account, and log in. Choose "BAANOOL car" to enter the interface.

Bind Device: Click the 'Add Device' button on the home page and scan the IMEI number to bind a new device. The IMEI number is located on the side of the device. You can also manually enter the IMEI for binding.

Using Tracker: Under normal circumstances, the device automatically selects the APN, username, and password without manual setting. If the device remains offline after 3 minutes of binding, you may need to set the APN and username/password via Bluetooth or SMS (refer to sections 12.17 and 12.18). Once online, you can view and manage the device.

5.2 BAANOOL IOT's Web Version

Access the web platform at www.baanooliot.com. Your login account name and password are the same as those used for the mobile app.

5.3 Positioning Strategy

You can select the working mode and positioning strategy via the positioning button. This allows for different reporting frequencies based on whether the device is stationary or moving. The movement trajectory will be displayed when the tracker moves.

5.3.1 Working Modes

Working ModeDescription
Real-time OnlineThe device is online in real-time and reports its location according to the set motion/stationary intervals. By default, it reports location at 10-second intervals when moving and 1-hour intervals when stationary.
Smart ModeOffline when stationary (phone calls, SMS, and alarms can trigger online). After SOS, door open, and illegal ignition alarms are triggered, the device will be online in real-time until the alarm is canceled. Wakes up and goes online when in motion. Reports at the set interval whether stationary or moving.

5.3.2 Positioning Interval

Configure the time intervals for reporting location data when the device is still or in motion.

5.4 History Playback

You can view the historical driving routes through the APP by clicking the playback button.

6. Remote Immobilizing

The tracker allows for remote control over the vehicle's oil and power supply.

8. Alarm Functions

The GPS tracker provides various alarm functions to enhance vehicle security.

9. Remotely Voice Monitor (Listen Function)

The device supports remote voice monitoring. Send an SMS command "monitor+password" to the unit. It will reply "monitor ok!" and switch to "monitor" mode. You can then dial the SIM number in the device, and it will automatically pick up your call, allowing you to monitor the voice around it. The default mode is "track" (positioning mode). To switch to listening mode, send "listen+password". To return to positioning mode, send "tracker+password".

10. Bluetooth Features

10.1 Bluetooth Automatic Arm/Disarm

To use this feature, open your phone's Bluetooth settings, search for "Bn403", click Connect, enter the machine password, and pair. When you move away from the tracker and the Bluetooth connection disconnects, the tracker will automatically arm. When you return and Bluetooth reconnects, it will automatically disarm.

10.2 Bluetooth Configuration Parameters

You can click the Bluetooth icon on the App login page or home page to enter the Bluetooth configuration interface. Click "Bn403" to modify device parameters directly after a successful connection. All SMS commands can also be set via Bluetooth.

11. Remote Controller (Optional)

For models that include a remote controller, the following functions are available:

*If you primarily use the mobile APP and web version, you may disregard the following content regarding SMS commands.

12. SMS Functions

The device operates with GPRS & SMS by default. If you only intend to manage the device via SMS, it is recommended to turn off GPRS mode (refer to section 12.21).

In SMS commands, "+" between two words means they should be written together as one word. "space" between two words means you should leave one character space.

The number of times SOS, external power, fuel, door open, and ACC alarms are sent can be configured.

12.10 ACC ON/OFF Alert

This function is off by default. If the tracker detects "ignition on" signal, it sends "ACC on+latitude& longitude" to authorized numbers. If "ignition off" signal is detected, it sends "ACC off+ latitude & longitude".

12.11 SIM Card Balance Enquiry

Way 1:

Way 2: When the network operator sends a text message to remind you to top up your SIM card, the tracker will forward the notification message to the authorized number.

The device's default mode is GPRS mode. If you prefer to manage the GPS device via SMS or calls, it is recommended to close GPRS mode.

14. Cautions

Please observe the following precautions when using the device:

  1. Keep the tracker in a dry environment. Humidity can easily damage internal circuits.
  2. Do not place the tracker in a dusty environment.
  3. Avoid placing the tracker in overheated or overcooled places.
  4. Handle the device carefully. Do not vibrate or shake it violently.
  5. Clean with a dry cloth; do not use chemicals or detergents.
  6. Do not disassemble the device, as this may lead to internal circuit failure.
  7. Read the user manual carefully before installation and operation, and understand the voltage range. Failure to do so may result in improper operation or damage to the tracker.
