Setup and Installation
1. Wiring Instructions
- Turn off Power: Before starting, turn off the power at the circuit breaker for the switch you are replacing. Use an electrical tester to confirm that the power is completely off.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the old switch from the wall box.
- Identify Wires: Identify the Line (Live) wire, Neutral wire, and Load (Lamp) wire. The wire colors in your house may differ from standard colors.
- Take Pictures: It is recommended to take pictures of the existing wiring before disconnecting anything for reference.
- Connect Wires: Follow the wiring diagram below to connect the smart switch wires to the wires in the wall box using wire connectors.
- Live wire connects to the "L" terminal.
- Neutral wire connects to the "N" terminal.
- Lamp wire connects to the "L1, L2, L3, L4" terminals, depending on the number of gangs:
- 1 Gang connects to "L1" terminal.

2. App Download and Registration
- Download MOES App: Download the "MOES" App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), or scan the QR code provided in the original manual. The MOES App is recommended for better compatibility and features.
- Register/Log In: Open the app. If you are a new user, tap "Register" and create an account using your phone number and setting a password. If you already have a MOES account, tap "Log in".
3. Wi-Fi Pairing
Ensure the switch is wired correctly and powered on before proceeding with pairing. The switch only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, temporarily disable the 5GHz band or ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz network during pairing.
- Enter Pairing Mode: Long press the switch button for 10 seconds until the white indicator on the switch flashes rapidly. This indicates the device is in network connection mode.
- Add Device in App: Open the MOES App. You can either scan a QR code (if available in the app) for a guided setup or manually add the device.
- Select AP Mode: In the app, select "AP Mode" (or similar option for manual addition), confirm that the indicator on the switch is flashing, and click "Next".
- Connect to Device Hotspot: The app will instruct you to connect your mobile phone to the device's Wi-Fi hotspot (usually named something like "SmartLife-XXXX" or "MOES-XXXX").
- Complete Pairing: Once connected, return to the MOES App. The device should be discovered and added successfully. You can then edit the device's name and click "Done" to enter the device page.

4. Multi-Control Association (for Neutral+Live Wire Switches)
This feature allows multiple smart switches to control the same light. Ensure all switches are already added to your MOES App.
- Add all smart switches you intend to use for multi-control to your MOES App. For switches requiring a neutral wire, the newly added switch only needs Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires connected; it does not need to be wired directly to the light.
- In the MOES App, select the "main" switch you wish to configure.
- Tap the settings icon (usually in the upper right corner) and choose "Multi-Control Association".
- Tap the "+" icon to add an association.
- Select the other smart switch you want to associate and then choose the specific button on that switch that will control the same light.
- Verify that the associated switch is enabled.
- You can now control the light using both switches. Do not associate another button within the same switch for multi-control.
- Repeat these steps to add more smart switches for controlling the same light.
5. Family Share
Share control of your smart switch with family members through the MOES App, allowing everyone in the household to manage the lights.
