1. Introduction

The GOREF Football Referee Intercom Headset is a full-duplex Bluetooth 5.1 communication system designed for referees and other professionals requiring clear, simultaneous communication. It supports up to 4 users for group talking with a maximum communication distance of 1200-1500 meters in ideal conditions. This system ensures stable communication with Bluetooth low energy technology, high-speed transmission, and stronger signal.

5. Setup and Basic Operations

5.1 Armband Installation

To comfortably wear the GOREF unit during activities, use the provided armband:

  1. Insert the GOREF unit into the armband pouch.
  2. Secure the armband around your arm.
  3. Adjust for a snug fit.

5.2 Operation Instructions

The GOREF unit features intuitive controls:

  • Single-click: Short press and release.
  • Double-click: Two quick presses.
  • 1s Long Press: Press and hold for approximately 1 second.
  • Press Simultaneously: Press two buttons at the same time.
  • 5s Press Simultaneously: Press and hold two buttons for 5 seconds.

5.3 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Long press the Power Button until the blue light appears.
  • Power Off: After powering on, long press the Power Button until the light turns off.

5.4 Volume Control

  • Volume Up: Single-click the Vol+ Button.
  • Volume Down: Single-click the Vol- Button.

5.5 Microphone Mute Function

The GOREF unit features a unique microphone off function:

  • Mute Microphone: Double-click the Mute Button. When muted, you can only hear others, and others cannot hear your voice.
  • This function allows you to temporarily disable your microphone without disconnecting from the intercom group.

5.6 Charging

  • Connect the Micro-USB charging cable to the unit's charging port and a power source (DC5V/1A).
  • Charging Indicator: Blue light is on during charging.
  • Full-charged Indicator: Light turns off when fully charged.

5.7 Reset the Device

  • To reset the device, press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the red light flashes.

5.8 Power Enquiry

  • After powering on, double-click the Power Button to check the battery status.

5.9 Reconnection

  • After all units are paired, double-click the B Button on the first unit to reconnect all units and sync.

6. Intercom Pairing

The GOREF system supports 2-way, 3-way, and 4-way intercom pairing.

6.1 Two-way Pairing

  1. Long press the Power Button on each unit for 3 seconds to power them on. (Blue light will flash).
  2. Long press the B Button of Unit 1 and the A Button of Unit 2 until both red/blue lights flash, entering pairing mode.
  3. Both units will auto-search and pair together. You will hear "the Intercom pairing successful".

6.2 Three-way Pairing

  1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 of "Two-way Pairing" for Unit 1 and Unit 2.
  2. Long press the B Button on Unit 2 and the A Button on Unit 3 until both red/blue lights flash, entering pairing mode.
  3. Unit 2 and Unit 3 will auto-search and pair together. Meanwhile, Unit 1 loses connection temporarily.
  4. Turn off all units, power on, and then double-click the B Button of Unit 1 to reconnect 3 units together and sync.

6.3 Four-way Pairing

  1. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 of "Three-way Pairing" for Units 1, 2, and 3.
  2. Long press the B Button on Unit 3 and the A Button on Unit 4 until both red/blue lights flash, entering pairing mode.
  3. Unit 3 and Unit 4 will auto-search and pair together. Meanwhile, Unit 1 and Unit 2 lose connection temporarily.
  4. Turn off all units, power on, and then double-click the B Button of Unit 1 to reconnect 4 units together and sync.

7. Operating Modes

7.1 Full-Duplex Communication

The GOREF system provides full-duplex communication, allowing all connected users to talk and listen simultaneously, similar to a phone call. This ensures seamless and natural conversation within the group.

7.2 Multi-way Intercom

The system supports up to 4 devices connected at the same time, enabling group talks without restrictions. This is ideal for team coordination in various scenarios.
