1. Introduction
The Aqara LLKZMK11LM Two-way Control Module is a Zigbee wireless relay switch controller designed to integrate traditional electrical equipment into your smart home system. It allows for smart control (APP remote control, automatic timing, etc.) while retaining the functionality of existing physical switches. This module requires a neutral line for installation and works with Aqara Home, Apple HomeKit, and Mi Home applications.
2. Package Contents

3.2. Terminals
The module features eight screw terminals, labeled from left to right:
- N: Neutral line connection
- L: Live line input
- IN: Live line input (often jumpered with L)
- IN: Live line input (often jumpered with L)
- L1: Controlled Live output for Channel 1
- L2: Controlled Live output for Channel 2
- S1: Switch input for Channel 1
- S2: Switch input for Channel 2
Note: The L and IN contacts are typically shorted, either internally or via an external jumper wire, to provide power to the control logic and outputs.

4. Setup and Installation
Important: Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician to ensure safety and proper functionality. Always disconnect power before performing any wiring.
4.1. Wiring
The Aqara Relay module supports two main wiring schemes, allowing integration with or without a physical wall switch.
Scheme 1: Smart Home Infrastructure Only (No Physical Switch Control)
This scheme is for controlling loads solely through the smart home app or automations.
- Connect the Neutral wire (N) from your power supply to the 'N' terminal on the module.
- Connect the Live wire (L) from your power supply to the 'L' terminal on the module.
- Connect a jumper wire between the 'L' terminal and one of the 'IN' terminals.
- Connect the Live wire for Load 1 (e.g., a lamp) to the 'L1' terminal.
- Connect the Live wire for Load 2 (e.g., a second lamp) to the 'L2' terminal.
- Connect the Neutral wires from both loads to the 'N' terminal.

Scheme 2: With Physical Two-Button Wall Switch
This scheme allows control via both the smart home app and a traditional two-button wall switch.
- Follow steps 1-5 from Scheme 1 for power and load connections.
- Connect the common input of your physical two-button switch to the jumpered 'L' and 'IN' terminals.
- Connect the output of Button 1 on your physical switch to the 'S1' terminal on the module.
- Connect the output of Button 2 on your physical switch to the 'S2' terminal on the module.

4.2. Pairing with Mi Home App
After wiring the module and restoring power, follow these steps to pair it with your Mi Home app:
- Open the Mi Home application on your smartphone.
- Navigate to the plugin for your Zigbee Gateway (Hub).
- Go to the 'Device' tab within the Gateway plugin.
- Tap on 'Add Child Device' (or similar option).
- From the list of available devices, select 'Wireless Relay Controller (2 Channels)'.
- Press and hold the reset/pairing button on the Aqara Relay module for approximately 5 seconds until the blue indicator light begins to flash.
- The app will detect and connect to the module. Once connected, you will be prompted to select a room and assign a name to the device.

5. Operation
5.1. App Control
Once paired, you can control the relay module through the Mi Home, Aqara Home, or Apple HomeKit apps. The app interface provides individual On/Off buttons for each of the two channels. It also displays real-time power consumption data, including daily, monthly, and current power usage (summed across both channels).

5.2. Physical Switch Control (Scheme 2)
If wired with a physical two-button switch (Scheme 2), the switch will toggle the state of both channels simultaneously. For example, if both channels are off, pressing the switch will turn both on. If one is on and one is off, pressing the switch will reverse their states. This physical control operates independently of the smart home system and internet connection, providing instant response. The status changes are reflected in the app, and power consumption is accurately tracked.
5.3. Power Loss Behavior
In the event of a power outage, the relay module is designed to retain its last known state. However, upon power restoration, if the relay was in an 'ON' state, it will briefly turn on and then immediately switch to the 'OFF' state. This is a safety feature to prevent unexpected activation of connected devices.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and free from dust.
- Avoid exposing the module to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Ensure all wiring connections remain secure. Periodically check screw terminals for tightness.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. Pairing Issues
If the module fails to pair with the Mi Home app, ensure your Zigbee Gateway is powered on and within range. Try resetting the module by pressing its pairing button for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes.
7.2. 'Interlock' Option Not Working
The 'interlock' option in the device settings may not be activatable, potentially due to gateway firmware compatibility. If you encounter an error message related to unsupported gateway firmware, updating your gateway's firmware is the recommended solution.
7.3. Device Not Supported by Home Assistant
As of the creation of this manual, the device may not be fully supported by alternative smart home systems like Home Assistant without specific gateway firmware updates. Check for the latest firmware updates for your gateway to resolve compatibility issues.
