  • Manual Mode: When the "A" icon is not displayed, the device is in Manual mode. It will operate according to the current set temperature, without following the time period program. (Note: Only Manual mode is available when the device is not connected to the internet.)
  • Temporary Mode: While in Auto mode, if you adjust the temperature, the "A" icon will blink, and the device will temporarily switch to Manual mode. It will return to Auto mode at the start of the next programmed time period.
  • OFF Mode (Stop Heating and Pause Heating): In winter, rotate the knob counterclockwise until "OF" is displayed. This pauses heating, closes the heating valve, and activates frost protection.
  • ON Mode: In summer, rotate the knob clockwise until "ON" is displayed. This stops heating by fully opening the heating valve, which can extend the valve's lifespan.

7.2. Week Program Setting

To set your weekly heating schedule:

  1. Click the "L" icon in the app to enter the week program setting page.
  2. Set four time periods and their corresponding temperatures for each day, creating a customized heating schedule.

7.3. Advanced Settings

Click the gear icon (Settings) in the app to access advanced settings, including temperature ceiling and lower limit settings.

7.4. Adjust Setting Temperature and Screen Rotation

  • Adjust Temperature: Rotate the knob button to adjust the setting temperature in 0.5°C increments. Image showing a hand rotating the TRV knob to adjust temperature

The device can detect open windows to save energy:

  • First, enable the window detection function in the MOES App.
  • If the device detects a temperature drop of more than 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes (indicating an open window), the open-window function will activate.
  • When activated, the screen displays "OP", and the temperature is automatically set to 12°C.
  • The function will terminate if: 1) Temperature is manually adjusted via app or device. 2) Detected temperature rises by more than 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes. 3) No operation on app or device within 30 minutes.

9.3. Restore Factory Settings

To restore the device to its original factory settings:

  • Long-press the middle button and insert the battery at the same time until "8" is displayed on the screen and blinking for 3 seconds.
  • The device will then be restored to factory settings and restart.

Attention: Once the device is restored to factory settings, all previous settings cannot be recovered.

10. User Tips

  • Always use alkaline batteries for optimal performance and battery life. The type of battery and your home router can affect battery longevity.
  • If you experience issues with battery life, ensure you are using high-quality alkaline batteries and consider checking your Wi-Fi router's signal strength near the TRV.
  • Before purchasing, it is recommended to confirm the model first if the thread size is not M30*1.5mm, to avoid ordering mistakes.
  • If you have a boiler that needs to be turned on/off by the valves, ensure your system supports this functionality or consider a compatible smart thermostat that can control the boiler directly.
