4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Door Measurement
Before installation, accurately measure your door to ensure compatibility with the smart lock and mortise. You will need the following measurements:
- Door thickness
- Length of forend (the metal plate on the edge of the door)
- Width of forend
- Distance between the upper and lower screws
- Distance between the left and right screws
Warm Prompt:
New doors or old wooden doors only need to provide 3-5 measurements. To replace the lock on a metal door, please provide all 5 measurements.
4.2 Mortise Lock Selection
Select the mortise lock size that suits your door. Common sizes include 22x190 (5050) and 22x235 (6085). Please measure your old mortise lock's three key data points to choose the corresponding size.
4.3 Handle Direction Adjustment
The smart lock supports universal right/left direction and can be adjusted freely for in-opening or out-opening doors. Follow the guide to adjust the locking tab accordingly.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered finger on the semiconductor fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock in ≤0.5 seconds.
- Password Unlock: Enter your registered password on the keypad. For enhanced security, use the virtual password feature by entering random numbers before or after your actual password.
- IC Card Unlock: Present your registered IC card to the card reader area on the lock.
- Mechanical Key Unlock: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical key to unlock the door. The manual keyhole is located on the bottom of the lock.
- APP Unlock (Tuya Smart Life):
- Remote One-Click Unlocking: Open the Tuya Smart Life app, select your lock, and tap the unlock button.
- Temporary Password: Generate time-limited passwords through the app to grant temporary access to guests or service providers.
- Member Management: Add and manage family members' access permissions directly from the app.
- Records Check: View unlocking records and activity logs in the app.

5.2 Security Features
