4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The HT127B multimeter requires 4 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). To install the batteries:
- Ensure the multimeter is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
- Insert four 1.5V AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
WARNING: To avoid electrical shock, remove test leads before opening the case.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the power button (
) to turn the multimeter on or off.
5.2 Mode Selection
The HT127B features a 'SMART' intelligent measurement mode that automatically recognizes the measurement type. You can also switch to manual mode using the 'FUNC' button to select specific functions.
5.3 Probe Jack Reminder
When switching measurement ranges, the corresponding input jack icon on the display screen will flash five times, reminding you to insert the probes into the correct jacks.

5.4 Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection
NCV measurement allows for contactless detection of electricity to prevent electric shock. Press the NCV button to activate this mode. The display will show '---L' when a weak communication signal is detected (beeping slowly) and '---H' when a strong communication signal is detected (beeping quickly).

5.5 Live Wire Detection
The multimeter can function as an electric pen for single probe zero and live wire identification. Insert a single probe into the socket to detect live wires.

5.7 AC/DC Current Measurement
When inserting a probe into the current (A) jack, the instrument automatically switches to the 'A~' range for current measurement. Switching ranges is not allowed at this time.
5.8 Continuity Test
The continuity test provides an audible beep and an illuminated alarm indicator when the circuit is connected. No beep or light indicates a disconnected circuit.
