1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the GTMEDIA V9 Prime Satellite Receiver. This device is designed to provide high-quality satellite television reception with advanced features. It supports DVB-S/S2/S2X standards, HEVC main 10 profile, and AVS+ for superior video quality. With built-in 2.4G WiFi, Ethernet, and support for 3G/4G USB dongles, it offers versatile connectivity options. 4. Product Overview

4.1 Port Descriptions

  • LNB IN: Connects to your satellite dish's LNB (Low Noise Block) converter.
  • ETHERNET: Connects to your router for internet access.
  • HD OUT: HDMI output for connecting to your TV or display.
  • AV OUT: Analog audio/video output for older TVs.
  • USB: For connecting USB storage devices (e.g., for firmware updates, media playback, or 3G/4G dongles).
  • DC 12V: Power input for the included adapter.
  • CA CARD: Slot for inserting a Conditional Access Card (located on the side).

5. Setup

5.1 Connecting the Device

  1. Satellite Connection: Connect the LNB cable from your satellite dish to the "LNB IN" port on the receiver.
  2. Video Output: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the "HD OUT" port on the receiver and the other end to an HDMI input on your TV. Alternatively, use the AV OUT port for older TVs.
  3. Network Connection: For internet features, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the "ETHERNET" port, or ensure your 2.4G WiFi is configured (see Section 6.3).
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the "DC 12V" port on the receiver, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.

5.2 Initial Power-On

After connecting all cables, press the power button on the front panel or the remote control to turn on the receiver. The device will boot up, and you should see the GTMEDIA logo or the main menu on your TV screen.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Navigation

Use the included IR remote control to navigate the on-screen menus. The arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) are used for selection, and the "OK" button confirms your choice. The "EXIT" button returns to the previous menu or screen.

6.2 Channel Search and Management

To receive satellite channels, you need to perform a channel search:

  1. From the main menu, select "Install" or "Channel".
  2. Choose "Antenna Setup" to configure your LNB type and DiSEqC settings (if applicable).
  3. Select "Satellite List" to choose the satellite(s) you wish to scan.
  4. Perform a "Single Satellite Search" or "Multi Satellite Search" to find available channels.
  5. After the scan, you can access "TV Channel List" to manage your channels (Lock, Edit, Move, Rename, Delete).

6.3 Network and Apps

The V9 Prime supports various online features and applications:

  • WiFi Connection: Go to "Setting" > "Network Setting" to configure your built-in 2.4G WiFi connection.
  • Ethernet: If using a wired connection, ensure the Ethernet cable is connected.
  • 3G/4G USB Dongle: Insert a compatible 3G/4G USB dongle into the USB port for mobile internet access.
  • Apps: Access applications like YouTube, WebTV, Media Player, and more from the "APP" menu.
  • SAT2IP & DLNA: The device supports SAT2IP via the GTShare APK and DLNA for streaming content.

6.4 Conditional Access Features

The GTMEDIA V9 Prime supports several conditional access features for encrypted channels:

  • CA Card: Insert a valid Conditional Access Card into the side slot to decrypt subscribed channels.
  • BISS Auto Roll: Automatically updates BISS keys for certain encrypted channels.
  • Full PowerVu, DRE & Biss key: Supports these systems for accessing specific encrypted content.

6.5 Firmware Upgrade

To ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features, it is recommended to keep your receiver's firmware updated. Firmware can be upgraded via USB:

  1. Download the latest firmware file from the official GTMEDIA website to a USB flash drive.
  2. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the receiver.
  3. Navigate to the "Tools" or "System Setup" menu and select "Upgrade by USB".
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware upgrade. Do not power off the device during the upgrade process.

7. User Tips

  • Satellite Dish Required: As a satellite receiver, the GTMEDIA V9 Prime requires a parabolic satellite dish (antenna) to receive signals. Ensure your dish is properly installed and aligned to the desired satellite(s).
  • Channel Access: The receiver supports Free-To-Air (FTA) channels directly. For encrypted channels, you may need a valid Conditional Access Card or rely on the built-in BISS auto roll, PowerVu, DRE & Biss key support.
  • GTShare App: Download the GTShare app on your mobile device to utilize features like mobile phone screen projection and SAT2IP functionality.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation slots are clear of dust and obstructions to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating.
  • Software Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates to improve performance and add new features.

9. Troubleshooting
