1. Product Overview
The JUWEL EasyFeed is an automatic fish feeder designed for use in any aquarium. It provides scheduled feeding for your fish, ensuring they receive food even when you are away. The feeder features a programmable timer and an adjustable feed container.

2. Setup and Installation
- Battery Installation: The feeder requires 2x AA Mignon batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity markings, and close the compartment securely.
- Filling the Feed Container: Open the feed container and fill it with your preferred fish food. Pellet form food is ideal for automatic feeders. The container has a volume designed for up to 60 feeds.
- Mounting: The JUWEL EasyFeed can be fitted simply and quickly to any JUWEL aquarium using the appropriate mounting support. Ensure the feeder is securely positioned above the water surface, allowing food to drop directly into the tank.

3. Operating Instructions

Manual Feeding
To dispense food manually, press the 'M' button (if available on your model) or a dedicated manual feed button. This will dispense a single portion of food without affecting the programmed schedule.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Feed Container: Regularly check and clean the feed container to prevent food residue buildup and ensure proper dispensing. Remove any old or damp food.
- Ventilation: In environments with high humidity, the feeder is designed to be ventilated using an ordinary air pump. Connect a small air pump to the designated port to keep the food dry and prevent clumping.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display dims or the feeder stops operating reliably. Always use fresh AA Mignon batteries.

5. Troubleshooting

- Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure the feed container is not empty.
- Verify that the food is not clumped or blocking the dispensing mechanism. Clean the container if needed.

- Food getting damp/clumping:
- Ensure the feeder is not exposed to excessive humidity.

- If your aquarium environment is very humid, consider utilizing the feeder's ventilation feature with a small air pump to keep the food dry.
- Before going on an extended trip, test the feeder for a few days to ensure it dispenses the correct amount of food at the scheduled times.
