7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Common Issues & Solutions
- Camera not connecting to WiFi/4G:
- Ensure the camera is within range of your WiFi router (max 20 meters without obstacles).
- For 4G models, verify the SIM card is correctly inserted, activated, and has data. Check if the SIM card's frequency bands are compatible with the camera.
- Try restarting the camera and your router.
- No image or poor image quality:
- Check power supply and connections.
- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure sufficient lighting for optimal night vision performance.
- Factory Reset: If you encounter persistent issues or forget your password, locate the reset button (often a small pinhole) on the camera body. Press and hold it for several seconds (typically 5-10 seconds) until the camera resets. This will restore default settings.
- Remote Data Download: You can download recorded data from the TF card remotely using the Camhipro mobile app or the CMS PC client software.
- Power Source: The camera operates on DC12V. It is designed for mains electricity and does not have an internal battery. If connecting to a 12V battery or solar power, ensure a stable 12V DC supply.
- Operating Temperature: The camera is designed to operate between -10°C and 55°C. Performance outside this range may be affected.
8. User Tips
- Extension Cables: Avoid using power extension cables longer than 10 meters (33 feet) between the camera and the power adapter. Longer cables can cause voltage reduction, potentially leading to device malfunction. Always use the provided power supply or a compatible, high-quality alternative. Do not use extension cables from other brands.
- App Usage: The Camhipro app is the primary interface for controlling and monitoring your camera. Familiarize yourself with its features for optimal use.
- 4G SIM Card Configuration: For 4G models, ensure your SIM card is properly configured and has an active data plan for remote access.
- Humanoid Tracking: Leverage the humanoid tracking feature to automatically follow detected individuals, enhancing surveillance effectiveness.
