5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the multimeter, wipe the casing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any circuits before cleaning.
5.2 Battery Replacement
Refer to section 3.1 for detailed instructions on battery replacement. Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
5.3 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and store the multimeter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
5.4 Safety Precautions
Always adhere to the following safety guidelines when using the multimeter:
- Current Measurement: Current must always be measured in series with the circuit. Never connect the multimeter in parallel when measuring current, as this can damage the device and pose a safety risk.
- Range Selection: Always select the appropriate measurement range. If you are unsure of the expected value, start with the highest range and work your way down.
- Voltage/Current Mix: Do not attempt to measure voltage and current simultaneously or mix measurement methods.
- Over Range Indication: If the display shows '1', it indicates an over-range condition. Select a higher range or discontinue the measurement if the maximum range is exceeded.
- Capacitor Discharge: Always discharge capacitors before testing to prevent electric shock or damage to the meter.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ANENG SZ302 Multimeter, consider the following:
- Product Not Operating Properly: If the multimeter is not functioning as expected, first check the battery installation and ensure the batteries are not depleted. If the issue persists, contact customer support for assistance.
- Display Shows '1' or 'OL': This indicates an over-range condition or an open circuit. Ensure you have selected the correct measurement range and that the test leads are properly connected to a closed circuit.
- No Display/Dim Display: Check battery levels. If the low battery indicator is on, replace the batteries. If the display is dim, ensure the backlight is activated by long-pressing the ☀️/H button.
- Inaccurate Readings: Verify that the correct function and range are selected. Ensure test leads are securely connected and not damaged. Check the component being tested for proper function.
