Maintenance
1. Cleaning Probes
- Always clean the probes thoroughly after each use with hot soapy water.
- Wipe the probes dry immediately.
- Do not immerse the probe connectors or the main units in water.
2. Water Resistance
- The TP27C is IPX4 waterproof, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
- DO NOT SUBMERGE THE UNIT IN WATER.
3. Storage
- Store the thermometer and probes in a clean, dry place when not in use.
- Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
- No display or low battery indicator: Replace batteries in both the Transmitter and Receiver units.
- Loss of signal/connection: Ensure the Transmitter and Receiver are within the 150m (500ft) range. Obstacles like thick walls or metal structures can reduce the range. Try re-syncing the units by pressing the 'RESYNC' button on the Transmitter.
- Inaccurate temperature readings: Ensure probes are fully inserted into the meat and not touching bone or gristle. Check that probe connectors are clean and securely plugged into the Transmitter.
- Alarm not sounding/vibrating: Check the selected alarm mode using the 'MODE' button on the Receiver. Ensure it's not set to Silent Mode.
