Setup Guide
1. Physical Installation
- Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location with ample sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view for the camera. Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi network (for Wi-Fi models) or has good 4G signal (for 4G models).
- Mount the Bracket: Use the provided bracket paper to mark drilling points on your desired mounting surface. Drill holes, insert wall anchors, and secure the camera bracket using the screws.
- Attach Solar Panel: Mount the solar panel in a position that maximizes direct sunlight exposure throughout the day. The solar panel can be adjusted for optimal angle.
- Attach Camera: Secure the camera unit to the mounted bracket.
2. Powering On
- The camera is powered by its built-in 18650 lithium batteries, which are continuously charged by the 25W solar panel.
- Ensure the solar panel is connected to the camera. The camera should power on automatically.
- For initial setup or if batteries are depleted, you may use an optional external power adapter to charge the camera.
3. App Installation and Pairing
- Download the UBOX App: Search for "UBOX" in your mobile device's app store (iOS or Android) and install the application.
- Register/Login: Open the UBOX app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or selecting AP mode for pairing.
- Network Configuration:
- For Wi-Fi models: Connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network by entering your Wi-Fi credentials in the app.
- For 4G models: Ensure a compatible 4G SIM card (not included) is inserted into the camera. The camera will automatically connect to the 4G network.
- Complete Setup: Once connected, name your camera and adjust initial settings as prompted by the app.
Operating Instructions
1. Pan Tilt Rotation
The camera supports a horizontal rotation of 355° and a vertical tilt of 90°. You can control the camera's viewing angle remotely through the UBOX app to monitor every corner of your property.

2. Two-Way Audio
The camera features a built-in high-fidelity speaker and a high-definition microphone with echo cancellation. This allows for two-way voice intercom, enabling you to hear and speak to individuals near the camera directly from your mobile app, regardless of your location.

3. PIR Motion Detection & Alerts
The camera is equipped with a Passive Infrared (PIR) detector that senses human bodies and large animals, minimizing false alarms. When the PIR alarm function is enabled, the camera will push alarm notifications to your UBOX mobile app when motion is detected within its monitoring range (0-10 meters, 120° angle).

4. Recording and Storage
The camera supports 24/7 loop recording. It offers multiple storage options:
- Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) into the designated slot for local storage of recordings.
- Cloud Storage: Utilize the cloud recording service for secure backup and access to your video footage from anywhere.
If the battery power drops below 30%, the camera automatically switches to a low-power recording mode, recording only when PIR detects motion to conserve energy.

5. Night Vision
The camera is equipped with high-power 850nm infrared lamps for clear black-and-white night vision up to 20 meters. Additionally, it has white light lamps (2W, effective distance 8 meters) that can automatically activate upon human body induction at night, providing full-color night vision when needed.
Maintenance
- Solar Panel Cleaning: Regularly clean the surface of the solar panel to ensure maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging. Dust, dirt, and debris can reduce its effectiveness.
- Camera Lens Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any smudges or dirt that might obstruct the view.
- Battery Health: While designed for continuous solar charging, ensure the camera receives adequate sunlight. Prolonged periods without sun may deplete batteries, affecting 24/7 recording.
- Firmware Updates: Check the UBOX app periodically for any available firmware updates for your camera to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Weather Protection: The camera is IP65 waterproof, meaning it is protected against dust and water jets. However, avoid submerging the camera in water or exposing it to extreme pressure washing.

Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Powering On:
- Ensure the solar panel is properly connected and receiving sunlight.
- Check if the built-in batteries are charged. If not, try charging with an external power adapter.
- No Network Connection (Wi-Fi/4G):
- For Wi-Fi models, verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz and the camera is within range. Re-enter Wi-Fi credentials in the UBOX app.
- For 4G models, ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted, active, and has data. Check 4G signal strength in the camera's location.
- Restart the camera and your router/modem.
- PIR Motion Detection Not Working:
- Ensure PIR detection is enabled in the UBOX app settings.
- Check the PIR sensitivity settings; adjust if too low or too high.
- Verify there are no obstructions blocking the PIR sensor.
- Poor Night Vision:
- Ensure the camera lens is clean.
- Check for any reflective surfaces near the camera that might interfere with infrared light.
- Verify night vision settings in the UBOX app.
- Two-Way Audio Issues:
- Check microphone and speaker settings in the UBOX app.
- Ensure your phone's volume is up and the app has microphone permissions.
- Reduce background noise for clearer communication.
- Recording Issues:
- If using an SD card, ensure it is properly inserted, formatted, and not full.
- If using cloud storage, verify your subscription is active and the camera is connected to the internet.
- Check battery level; recording might be limited in low-power mode.
User Tips
- Optimal Solar Charging: Position the solar panel to receive at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily for consistent power. Adjust its angle seasonally.
- Maximize Battery Life: While 24/7 recording is supported, consider using PIR-triggered recording during periods of low activity or limited sunlight to extend battery life and reduce data usage (for 4G models).
- Secure Mounting: Ensure the camera and solar panel are securely mounted to prevent theft or damage from strong winds.
- Regular App Checks: Periodically check the UBOX app for camera status, battery level, and recording history.
- Privacy Zones: Utilize any available privacy zone features in the app to block out areas you do not wish to record.
