8. User Tips

No specific user tips are available from the provided data. Always refer to your camera's manual for optimal flash synchronization settings.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Do not use strong cleaning agents or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the E3+ in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Hot Shoe Contacts: Keep the hot shoe contacts clean and free from debris to ensure proper communication with your camera and flash units.
  • Avoid Moisture: While the hot shoe has a seal ring, avoid exposing the unit to excessive moisture or rain.

10. Troubleshooting

  • Unit Not Powering On: Check battery installation and ensure batteries have sufficient charge.
  • No Flash Firing:
    • Verify that the transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel and wireless ID.
    • Ensure the flash unit is properly mounted on the receiver and powered on.
    • Check the flash unit's battery level.
    • Confirm the camera's flash settings are correct.
  • Inconsistent Flash Exposure:
    • Check flash exposure compensation settings on both the transmitter and camera.
    • Ensure the flash ratio is set appropriately for your lighting setup.
    • Verify that the flash mode (ETTL, M) is correctly selected.
  • AF Assist Light Not Working: Ensure the AF assist light function is enabled in the transmitter's custom functions (if applicable) and that the camera is attempting to autofocus in low light.
  • HSS Not Functioning: Confirm your camera model is compatible with HSS when used with the E3+ and that HSS is enabled on the transmitter.
