4. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your door meets the compatibility requirements (thickness 35-100mm). The lock is suitable for metal, wooden, sliding, and broken bridge aluminum doors.

4.1. Measure Your Existing Mortise Lock

Accurate measurement of your old mortise lock is crucial for selecting the correct replacement size. Refer to the diagram below to measure the key dimensions (e.g., 22x235 (60 85)).

4.2. Adjust Mortise Lock Tongue Direction

The mortise lock tongue can be adjusted for push or pull open doors. Simply push the tongue to reverse its direction as needed.

4.3. Adjust Handle Direction

4.4. Battery Installation

The lock is powered by 4 AAA 1.5V batteries. The battery compartment is located on the rear panel. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Unlocking Methods

  • Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
  • Password Unlock: Enter your registered password on the capacitive touch keypad. The lock supports virtual passwords (scramble code) up to 16 digits to prevent peeping.
  • Smart Card Unlock: Present a registered smart card to the card reader area on the lock.
  • Mechanical Key Unlock: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical keys to unlock the door.
  • TT Lock APP Unlock (Bluetooth): Use the TT Lock mobile application on your smartphone to unlock the door when within Bluetooth range.

5.2. TT Lock APP Features

The TT Lock APP provides comprehensive management of your smart lock:

  • Generate Passcodes: Create different types of passcodes for guests, including temporary, timed, or cycle passwords.
  • Unlock Records: View a history of who unlocked the door and when.

5.3. Inside Locked Switch

The X2 lock features an 'Inside Locked Switch' on the rear panel. When this switch is activated, common users cannot unlock the door from the outside. Only the administrator user retains the ability to unlock the door from the outside.

6. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace the 4 AAA 1.5V batteries when the low battery warning is issued. Use high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
  • Cleaning: Clean the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
  • Fingerprint Sensor: Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and free of dirt or moisture to ensure accurate readings.

  • Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint if the issue persists.

  • TT Lock APP connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the lock is within range. Update the app to the latest version. If using remote unlock, verify your Wi-Fi gateway connection.
