1. Introduction

The LEKATO WS-80 is a 2.4GHz wireless audio system designed for musical instruments such as electric guitars, basses, and other electronic instruments. It provides original sound transmission with ultra-low latency and a stable connection, allowing musicians to perform cable-free. This system ensures that the most subtle nuances of your performance are captured and transmitted with utmost fidelity.

2. Setup Guide

2.1 Charging the Devices

Both the transmitter and receiver units feature a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, ensure both units are fully charged.

  1. Connect the included USB charging cable to the charging ports on both the transmitter and receiver.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. During charging, the indicator lights will glow orange. Once fully charged, the orange lights will turn off. A full charge provides over 8 hours of working time.

2.2 Power On/Off

Locate the ON/OFF switch on each unit. Slide the switch to 'ON' to power on and 'OFF' to power off.

2.3 Connecting to Instruments

The WS-80 features a 220° rotatable head, making it compatible with most electric musical instruments, including those with vibrato systems like Stratocaster-style guitars.

  1. Plug the transmitter (marked 'Transmitter') into your instrument's output jack (e.g., guitar, bass).
  2. Plug the receiver (marked 'Receiver') into your amplifier, effects pedal, or audio mixer's input jack.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Automatic Pairing

The WS-80 system is designed for plug-and-play operation. Once both the transmitter and receiver are powered on, they will automatically pair. The blue indicator lights will flash slowly when not paired and flash fast during pairing status. Once successfully paired, the blue lights will glow steadily.

3.2 Channel Selection

The WS-80 supports simultaneous broadcasts on up to 4 channels. To change channels, simply click the button on the unit. This allows multiple sets of devices to work in the same area without interference.

3.3 Performance Indicators

  • Latency: < 5ms, ensuring no noticeable lag.
  • Transmission Range: Over 100 feet outdoors.

  • Battery Status: Orange lights indicate charging or low battery (flashing). Lights off mean fully charged.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the units. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the devices in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the units frequently. Charge them regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

5. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound Output:
    • Ensure both transmitter and receiver are powered on and fully charged.
    • Verify that both units are correctly plugged into the instrument and amplifier/mixer.
    • Check if the units are successfully paired (steady blue lights). If not, power cycle both units.
    • Confirm the volume on your instrument and amplifier is turned up.
  • Interference or Signal Dropouts:
    • The WS-80 operates on the 2.4GHz ISM band. Avoid using it near other 2.4GHz devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, microwaves) that might cause interference.
    • Try changing the channel on the units by clicking the button.
    • Ensure a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver, and stay within the recommended 100+ feet outdoor range. Walls and large objects can reduce range.
  • Device Not Charging:
    • Check the USB charging cable for damage.
    • Ensure the USB power source is functional.
    • Confirm the charging cable is securely connected to both the unit and the power source.
