Setup

1. Binding Procedure

To establish communication between your FTr16S receiver and a compatible AFHDS 3 transmitter (e.g., PL18), follow these general steps:

  1. Ensure your transmitter is powered on and set to binding mode according to its specific instructions.
  2. Power on the FTr16S receiver while simultaneously holding down the bind button located on the receiver board.

Once successfully bound and wired, the FTr16S receiver will process control signals from your compatible AFHDS 3 transmitter and output them to your RC drone's flight controller.   • Optimal Antenna Placement: For the best possible range and signal reliability, position the dual antennas at a 90-degree angle to each other. This configuration helps to minimize signal blocking and provides superior signal diversity, especially crucial in dynamic flight environments. Avoid placing antennas directly against or parallel to large carbon fiber or metal components of your drone.
