2. Hair Cutting
- Ensure hair is clean and dry before cutting.
- Attach the desired guide comb for the desired length. For a closer cut (0.5-1mm), the clipper can be used without a guide comb.
- Hold the clipper with the blades pointing downwards.
- Start cutting from the bottom of the head, moving upwards against the direction of hair growth.
- Use smooth, even strokes.
- Regularly check the hair length and adjust as needed.
3. Blade Features
The VGR V228 features stainless steel blades that are zero-gapped, extra thin, and sharp for precise cutting. The R-angle processing on the blades helps protect the skin from irritation during use.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Blades
The VGR V228 features a hollow cutter head design for easy cleaning. After each use:
- Turn off the clipper and remove any attached guide comb.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blades and the clipper body.
- The knife head can be washed under running water for thorough cleaning. Ensure the clipper body is not submerged if it's not explicitly waterproof.
- Allow the blades to air dry completely before reattaching or storing.
2. Oiling the Blades
To maintain optimal performance and prolong the life of the blades, apply a few drops of the included blade oil after every few uses or when the clipper feels less smooth:
- Apply 1-2 drops of blade oil to the teeth of the blades.
- Turn on the clipper for a few seconds to allow the oil to distribute evenly.
- Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.
3. Storage
Store the clipper in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
- Clipper not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the clipper to a power source and check the LED display.
- Reduced cutting performance: Clean the blades thoroughly to remove any trapped hair. Apply blade oil as described in the maintenance section. Ensure the guide comb is correctly attached.
- Clipper making unusual noise: Clean and oil the blades. If the noise persists, contact customer support.
- Battery not charging: Check the USB cable and power adapter for damage. Try a different USB port or power source.
