AUTOOL HTS518 Car Engine Carbon Deposition Cleaner

Model: HTS518

Brand: AUTOOL

1. Introduction

The AUTOOL HTS518 Walnut Powder Engine Intake Pipe Valve Cleaning Machine is an advanced equipment designed for effectively cleaning carbon deposits from engine intake systems. Regular cleaning helps maintain engine health and ensures consistent high-quality power output.

Carbon deposits can lead to engine idling instability, insufficient air intake, power reduction, and acceleration weakness. The HTS518 helps restore your car to a healthy engine state by deeply removing highly sticky carbon deposits from the intake manifold, intake, and exhaust valves.

7. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to clean carbon deposits from your engine:

  1. Prepare Engine: Remove the intake manifold of the engine. Turn the crankshaft to close the intake valve of the cylinder you intend to clean.
  2. Connect Power: Connect the AC power cable to the AUTOOL HTS518 unit.
  3. Start Cleaning: Plug the spray gun into the engine intake. Turn on the unit using the control panel. The cleaning process for each intake pipe should last approximately 1-3 minutes, depending on the severity of carbon deposition.
  4. Adjust Speed: The control panel allows you to switch between low-speed and high-speed modes for optimal cleaning.
  5. Repeat for Each Cylinder: Clean one intake pipe at a time. For a 6-cylinder engine, repeat the process 6 times, one by one, ensuring each intake valve is closed during its cleaning cycle.
  6. Monitor Progress: Periodically check the carbon deposit on the intake valve to assess cleaning effectiveness.
  7. Complete Cleaning: Once cleaning is complete, turn off the AUTOOL HTS518.

8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AUTOOL HTS518:

  • Dust Filter Cleaning: The unit features a built-in dust filter that separates recovered walnut sand grit from carbon deposits. Regularly clean this filter to maintain efficient recycling and suction.
  • Walnut Powder Reuse: Walnut powder can typically be reused 5-10 times, depending on the amount of carbon deposition it has collected. Inspect the powder for excessive contamination before reuse.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a clean, dry place when not in use.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AUTOOL HTS518, consider the following:

  • No Power: Check the power cable connection and ensure the unit is plugged into a working electrical outlet. Verify the power switch is in the 'On' position.
  • Weak Suction/Spraying: Ensure the external air pump is connected and providing sufficient pressure (>0.7Mpa). Check for blockages in the hoses, spray gun, or sand suction port. Verify the dust filter is clean and not clogged.
  • Ineffective Cleaning: Ensure the correct walnut powder size (0.4-0.8mm) and quantity (2-4KG) are used. Confirm that the intake valve of the cylinder being cleaned is properly closed. Increase cleaning time if carbon deposits are severe.
  • Walnut Sand Not Recycling: Check the recycle hose for blockages and ensure it is properly connected. Verify the dust filter is clean.

For persistent issues, please contact AUTOOL customer support.

10. User Tips

  • Walnut powder is not included in the package; please purchase it separately from your local market. Ensure it has a diameter between 0.4-0.8mm and use 2-4KG for effective cleaning.
  • A high-pressure air pump is required for operation and is not included in the package. Ensure your air pump can provide more than 0.7Mpa (102PSI) pressure.
  • Any residual walnut powder in the intake pipe will turn to ash at high temperatures once the engine starts, causing no harm.
  • The AUTOOL HTS518 is specifically designed for cleaning carbon deposits from the intake pipe and the back side of intake valves. For cleaning injectors, throttle valves, or cylinders, dedicated tools like AUTOOL CT150, CT200, C100, or C200 should be used.
  • For high-precision engine systems, such as BMW's Valvetronic system, precise carbon removal is crucial. The HTS518 is ideal for this purpose, ensuring thorough cleaning without damage.
