    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How do I pair and master reset Tzumi Soundmates 5.0 (Model 6759) if there are no physical buttons?

    Answer

While the Tzumi Soundmates 5.0 (Model 6759) may appear to have no physical buttons, they utilize touch-sensitive surfaces located on the outer part of the earbuds. These act as the "multi-function button" described in the manual.

    To Pair Your Earbuds:

    1. Remove both earbuds from the charging case. They should automatically power on.
    2. If they do not power on automatically, press and hold the touch-sensitive area on both earbuds until you hear the "Power on" prompt.
    3. Wait for the earbuds to link to each other; you should hear prompts for "Left Channel" and "Right Channel."
    4. Activate Bluetooth on your device, search for "Tzumi Soundmates" (or "E41" depending on the firmware version), and select it to connect.

    To Perform a Master Reset:

    1. Delete/Forget the Soundmates from your device's Bluetooth settings.
    2. Turn both earbuds off by long-pressing the touch-sensitive areas for about 4 seconds until you hear "Power off."
    3. To reset and change the Master Earbud, press and hold the touch-sensitive area on BOTH earbuds simultaneously for about 6 seconds.
    4. When the blue and red lights flash quickly, double-tap the touch-sensitive area on the specific earbud you wish to set as the Master (primary) earbud.
    5. Place them back in the case and remove them again to restart the pairing process.

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why is only one earbud showing a charging light while the other turns off immediately?

    Answer

It appears one of your earbuds is not making a proper connection with the charging case or has a depleted battery. Based on the Tzumi Sound Mates manual and common troubleshooting for this model, please try the following steps:

    • Clean the Charging Contacts: Use a dry cotton swab or a soft cloth to gently clean the metal charging pins inside the case and the contact points on the bottom of the earbud. Dust or earwax buildup often prevents the earbud from charging.
    • Check the Case Power: Ensure the charging case itself is fully charged. Plug the micro-USB cable into the case; the LED should be solid red while charging and turn off once full.
    • Reseat the Earbud: Place the non-charging earbud back into the case and ensure it is firmly seated. You may need to wiggle it slightly to ensure the pins align.
    • Reset the Earbuds: If the earbud turns off immediately after being removed, it may not have held a charge. Try leaving it in the case for at least 1.5 hours. If it still fails to power on, try a reset by holding the multi-function button on both earbuds for about 6 seconds until the lights flash.

If the light still does not appear after cleaning and charging the case, the battery in that specific earbud may be defective.

  3. How do you turn the volume down.

Pamela asks How do you turn the volume down.
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How do you adjust the volume on Tzumi Sound Mates earbuds?

    Answer

Based on the provided manual for the Tzumi Sound Mates (Model E41), there are no built-in volume control commands on the earbuds' multi-function buttons. The multi-function buttons are used for pairing, power, and call management (answering, ending, or redialing).

To turn the volume down or up, you must use the volume controls on your connected Bluetooth device (such as your smartphone or tablet). If your specific model has touch controls not listed in this basic manual, you can try a long-press or double-tap on the left earbud, but for the E41 model described, volume is managed via the source device.

    Question

Can Tzumi Sound Mates earbuds be tracked or located if they are lost?

    Answer

Based on the official manual for the Tzumi Sound Mates, these earbuds do not have a built-in GPS or native 'Find My' tracking feature. They are standard Bluetooth 4.2 devices and do not include the specialized hardware or software integration required for remote location tracking.

If you have lost them, you may want to check the following:

    • Bluetooth Connection: If the earbuds are still powered on and within 30 feet of your phone, your phone's Bluetooth settings may show them as 'Connected,' which can help you determine if they are nearby.
    • Third-Party Apps: Some users use generic 'Bluetooth Scanner' apps from the App Store or Google Play Store that can help locate a signal if the earbuds are currently powered on, but these will not work if the battery is dead or the earbuds are inside the closed charging case.

Because the device automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity to save power, it is unlikely they can be electronically located after being lost for an extended period.

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How do I lower the volume on Tzumi Sound Mates?

    Answer

Based on the manual for the Tzumi Sound Mates (model E41), the earbuds do not have dedicated volume control buttons on the hardware itself. The multi-function button is used for pairing, power, and call management (answering, ending, or redialing).

To lower the volume, you must use the volume controls on your connected Bluetooth device (such as your smartphone or tablet). Adjusting the volume on your phone will directly change the output level of the earbuds.

If you are using a different version of Sound Mates (such as the Pro or V2 models), some versions allow volume control via touch sensors, but for the standard model described in this manual, it must be done via the source device.

How do I connect my Tzumi Sound Mates to my iPhone via Bluetooth?

    Answer

To connect your Tzumi Sound Mates to your iPhone, please follow these steps:

    1. Power On and Pair Earbuds: Press and hold the multi-function button on both earbuds for a few seconds until you hear the "Power on" prompt and see blue lights flashing. You should then hear "Left Channel" and "Right Channel," indicating the earbuds are paired to each other.

    3. Select the Device: Look for "E41" in the list of available devices and tap it to connect. You will hear "Phone paired" from the Master earbud once the connection is successful.

    Troubleshooting Tips:

    • Ensure the earbuds are within 3 feet of your iPhone during the initial pairing process.
    • If "E41" does not appear, try resetting the earbuds by holding the multi-function buttons on both for 6 seconds until the blue/red lights flash quickly.
    • Make sure the earbuds are fully charged; return them to the charging case (the LED should be solid blue while charging and turn off when complete).

    Question

What should I do if one of my Tzumi Sound Mates earbuds stays red and won't turn off?

    Answer

If one of your Tzumi Sound Mates earbuds is stuck with a solid red light, it usually indicates that the earbud is in charging mode or has encountered a software freeze. Try the following steps to resolve the issue:

    • Force Power Off: Press and hold the multi-function button on the affected earbud for at least 10 seconds. This can often force the device to shut down and reset its state.
    • Use the Charging Case: Place both earbuds into the charging case and close the lid. According to the manual, putting the earbuds into the charging case should automatically turn them off and initiate the charging cycle.
    • Perform a Reset: To reset the earbuds, hold the multi-function button on both earbuds for 6 seconds until the blue and red lights flash quickly. This may clear any pairing or power-state errors.
    • Drain the Battery: If the button is unresponsive, allow the earbud to remain out of the case until the battery drains completely and the light goes out. Once it is dead, charge it fully in the case for 1.5 hours before trying to power it on again.

Note: A solid red light normally appears when the earbud is charging inside the case or when the charging station itself is being charged.

  8. What do I do if a headphone doesn’t turn on, even though I put it on charge. When I take out my hearing aid, only one red light is fixed.

    Question

What should I do if one earbud won't turn on after charging and shows a solid red light?

    Answer

If one of your Tzumi Sound Mates is not turning on and shows a solid red light, it may be stuck in charging mode or experiencing a pairing synchronization error. Please try the following steps:

    • Check the Charging Connection: Ensure there is no debris or protective plastic film on the charging pins of the earbud or inside the case. A poor connection can prevent the earbud from completing its charge cycle.
    • Perform a Manual Reset: To reset the earbuds, press and hold the multi-function button on both earbuds simultaneously for about 6 seconds. When the blue and red lights flash quickly, you are in the reset/pairing mode.
    • Re-pair the Earbuds: Once the lights are flashing, double-press the multi-function button on the earbud you wish to set as the 'Master' (usually the right one). This should force the two earbuds to sync with each other.
    • Verify Power: If the earbud still shows a red light when removed, place it back in the case and ensure the case itself is plugged into a power source. According to the manual, the LED should turn solid blue while charging and turn off completely when finished. A solid red light typically indicates the charging station itself is charging, or the earbud is not yet fully initialized.

If the earbud remains unresponsive after these steps, it may have a defective battery or internal hardware fault.

    Question

How do I fix a Tzumi Sound Mate earbud that stays lit red?

    Answer

A solid red light on a Tzumi Sound Mate earbud typically indicates that the earbud is in charging mode or experiencing a connection error. To resolve this, please try the following steps:

    • Reset the Earbuds: Press and hold the multi-function button on both earbuds for about 6 seconds. When the blue and red lights flash quickly, you can re-establish the Master/Slave connection.
    • Check the Charging Case: Ensure the earbud is seated correctly in the case. If the light stays red while in the case, it is charging. If it stays red outside of the case, it may be stuck in a frozen state; try placing it back in the case and removing it again.
    • Clean the Contacts: Use a dry cotton swab to clean the metal charging pins on the earbud and inside the case to ensure a proper connection.
    • Power Cycle: Long press the multi-function button for about 4 seconds until you hear "Power off," then turn them back on by holding the buttons again until the blue lights flash.

If the light remains solid red and the earbud is unresponsive to button presses, ensure the charging station itself is fully charged (the station LED will turn solid red when charging and turn off when complete).

    Question

Only one earbud is working, the other is completely off and does not turn on. Why is this?

    Answer

It sounds like one of your Tzumi Sound Mates earbuds might not be charging or powering on correctly. Here are some troubleshooting steps based on the manual:

    • Check Charging: Ensure both earbuds are properly seated in the charging case. The manual states that they will charge automatically when returned to the charging station and the lid is closed. The LED light should turn solid blue while charging. If one earbud's light isn't coming on, it might not be making proper contact or could have a charging issue.
    • Power Cycle: Try putting both earbuds back into the charging case, closing the lid, and then taking them out again after a few seconds. This can sometimes reset them.
    • Manual Power On: Although the manual suggests they power on automatically when removed from the case, you can try manually powering on the non-working earbud. Press and hold the multi-function button on that earbud for a few seconds until you hear "Power on" and see a blue light flashing.
    • Check Charging Case Battery: Make sure the charging case itself has enough power. If the case is completely drained, it won't be able to charge the earbuds. Plug the charging case into a power source using the provided micro USB cable. The LED light will turn solid red while charging the case.
    • Reset Earbuds: The manual mentions a reset option: "To reset/change MASTER Earbud, hold multi-function button on BOTH earbuds for 6 seconds. When blue/red lights flash quickly, press multi-function button twice on the earbud you want to set as the MASTER Earbud." While this is for changing the master earbud, performing a reset might help resolve power issues.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with the earbud or its battery.

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Is it okay to use an iPhone charging cable to charge the Tzumi Sound Mates instead of the supplied cable?

    Answer

Based on the product specifications for the Tzumi Sound Mates, the charging station requires a Micro-USB cable for charging. Standard iPhone cables (Lightning or USB-C) are generally not compatible with the charging port on the bottom of the Sound Mates case.

If your iPhone cable is a Lightning cable, it will not fit and should not be forced into the port. However, if you are using a standard USB power adapter (the part that plugs into the wall) with the provided Micro-USB cable, that is perfectly safe. The manual specifies a charging current of DC 5V. To charge the station correctly:

    1. Plug a Micro-USB cable into the port at the bottom of the charging station.
    2. The LED will turn solid red while charging and turn off when complete.

If you have lost the original cable, you can use any standard Micro-USB cable from another device.

  13. It does not charge completely and it remains with a green light and I have left it for several hours and the light does not change

No se carga por completo ya se mantiene con una luz verde y lo he dejado por varias horas y no cambia la luz
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why does the charging light remain green and not change after several hours of charging?

    Answer

Based on the Tzumi Sound Mates manual, there appears to be a discrepancy between your device's behavior and the standard LED indicators. According to the manual:

    • Earbuds: Should show a solid blue light while charging and the light should turn off when complete.
    • Charging Case: Should show a solid red light while charging and turn off when complete.

If your device is displaying a green light that does not change, it may indicate a hardware fault or a different model version not covered by this specific manual. However, you can try these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure the micro-USB cable is firmly plugged into the bottom of the case and a functional power source.
    2. Clean Contacts: Use a dry cotton swab to clean the metal charging pins inside the case and the contacts on the earbuds to ensure a proper connection.
    3. Reset the Connection: Remove the earbuds from the case and place them back in to see if the LED resets to the expected blue or red status.

If the light remains green and the device fails to hold a charge, the internal battery may be defective.

  14. The left earphone does not work by itself and the right earphone turns off quickly, what do I do?

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

The left earphone does not work independently and the right earphone turns off quickly. How can I fix this?

    Answer

Based on the Tzumi Sound Mates manual, here are the steps to address your issues:

    • Single Earbud Use (Left Earbud): By factory default, the Right earbud is the "Master." To use the Left earbud by itself, you must pair it independently:
      1. Ensure the other earbud is turned off.
      2. Press and hold the multi-function button on the Left earbud for about 6 seconds until you hear "Power on" then "Pairing" (lights will flash blue/red).
      3. Search for "E41" on your device's Bluetooth menu and connect.
    • Right Earbud Turning Off: If the earbud turns off quickly, it may have a low battery or be timing out.
      1. Check Charge: Place both earbuds in the charging case. The LED should be solid blue while charging and turn off when complete (approx. 1-1.5 hours).
      2. Auto-Power Off: Note that the earbuds automatically turn off if no device is connected within 5 minutes of powering on.
      3. Resetting Master Status: If the connection is unstable, you can reset the Master earbud by holding the multi-function button on BOTH earbuds for 6 seconds until lights flash quickly, then double-press the button on the earbud you want to set as the Master.

If the right earbud continues to turn off immediately after a full 1.5-hour charge, the internal battery may be defective.
