8BitDo Lite2-8 Bluetooth Gamepad
Overview
- Press the Home button to turn on the controller.
- Hold the Home button for 3 seconds to turn off the controller.
- Hold the Home button for 8 seconds to force the controller off.
Switch
- Please ensure your Switch system is 3.0.0 or above.
- NFC scanning, IR camera, HD rumble, and notification LED are not supported, nor can the system be wakened up wirelessly.
Bluetooth Connection
- Turn the Mode switch to S.
- Press the Home button to turn on the controller, and the LED indicator will start to blink rapidly.
- Hold the Pair button for 3 seconds to enter its pairing mode, the LED indicator will stop blinking for a short moment and blink again. (This is required for the very first time only.)
- Go to your Switch settings, click on “Controllers”, “, then click on “Change grip/order” and wait for the connection. The LED indicator will become solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wired Connection
Go to system Setting > Controller and Sensors › Turn on Pro Controller Wired Communication.
- Turn the Mode switch to S.
- Connect the controller to the USB port of your Switch and wait till the controller is successfully recognized by your Switch before using it.
Android
- Please ensure your Android system is 9.0 or above.
Bluetooth Connection
- Turn the Mode switch to D.
- Press the Home button to turn on the controller, the 1st LED indicator will start to blink.
- Hold the Pair button for 3 seconds to enter its pairing mode, the LED indicator will start to blink rapidly. (This is required for the very first time only.)
- Go to your Android device’s Bluetooth setting and pair with [8BitDo Lite 2], the LED indicator will become solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wired Connection
OTG support is required for your Android device. Please contact your device manufacturer for more details.
- Turn the Mode switch to D.
- Connect the controller to the USB port of your Android device and wait till the controller is successfully recognized by your Android device before using it.
Apple
- ¡OS16.3, iPadOS® 16.3, tvOS® 16.3, macOS® 13.2, visionOS 1.1 or above is required.

Bluetooth Connection

(This is required for the very first time only.) - Go to your Android device’s Bluetooth setting and pair with [&BitDo Lite 2), the LED indicator will become solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wired Connection
Only macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices with USB Type-C ports are supported.
- Turn the Mode switch to D.
- Connect the controller to the USB port of your Apple device and wait till the controller is successfully recognized by your Apple device before using it.
Turbo Function
- D-Pad, Left/Right joystick, Home, minus, plus buttons are not supported.
- The turbo settings will not be saved permanently and will revert to default settings after the controller is powered off or disconnected.
- The turbo function is not supported when used on the Switch.
Turbo Mode
- Turn on: Hold the button you would like to assign the turbo functionality, then press the Star button to enable the Turbo Mode, the 4th LED indicator will blink rapidly.
- Turn off: Hold the button you would like to deactivate the turbo functionality, then press the Star button to disable the Turbo Mode, the 4th LED indicator will turn off.
Auto Turbo Mode
- Turn on: Hold the button you would like to assign the turbo functionality, then press the Star button twice to enable the Auto Turbo Mode, the 4th LED indicator will blink rapidly.
- Turn off: Hold the button you would like to deactivate the turbo functionality, then press the Star button to disable the Auto Turbo Mode, the 4th LED indicator will turn off.
Battery
- Built-in 480mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery, it provides approximately 20 hours of playtime, with 1 hour of charging time.
- The controller will automatically shut down if it fails to connect within 1 minute of startup, or if there are no operations within 15 minutes after establishing a connection.
- The controller will not shut down during a wired connection.
