Product Usage Instructions

Enabling HTTPS

  1. Plug one of the two USB sticks into the free USB port on the ONLITE central eBox CPU.
  2. Restart the ONLITE central eBox via the display.
  3. The ONLITE central eBox restarts.
  4. Check whether the website of the ONLITE central eBox can still only be accessed via HTTPS.
  5. Affix one of the sticker labels to the ONLITE central eBox CPU above the USB stick.
  6. The customer may need to update the existing bookmark because the protocol for enabling HTTPS is part of the bookmark and has changed.

Attention: Replacing the USB Stick

  1. If the USB stick has been removed or is faulty, the second USB stick must be used.
  2. Remove the faulty USB stick, if there is one.
  3. Plug the second USB stick into the USB port.
  4. Restart the ONLITE central eBox via the display.
  5. The ONLITE central eBox restarts.

Enabling HTTPS

  3. Check whether the website of the ONLITE central eBox can still only be accessed via HTTPS.

Attention

  • The USB stick must not be removed. The website of the ONLITE central eBox cannot be accessed without the USB stick. The emergency lighting will still function, and the system can be locked via the display of the ONLITE central eBox.
  • The USB stick must not be used for other purposes (e.g., loading firmware updates). The ONLITE central eBox checks the content of the memory stick and ignores any programs and files that are not already preinstalled.
  • HTTPS is enabled permanently. Zumtobel does not provide any tools to undo HTTPS once it is enabled.

Replacing the USB stick

If the USB stick has been removed or is faulty, the second USB stick must be used.

  1. Remove the faulty USB stick, if there is one.
  2. Plug the second USB stick into the USB port.
  3. Restart the ONLITE central eBox via the display.
    The ONLITE central eBox restarts.
