Connection Diagram

  1. Connect the camera and NVR to the power supply.
  2. After the device is powered on, the NVR will automatically search and pair with the camera, and the camera feed will be displayed.

NOTE: If you have purchased a new camera, it needs to be paired before it can be added to the system. For detailed pairing operations, please refer to the following link:
To add additional cameras to the NVR, follow these steps:

  1. Power on the camera and connect the NVR and camera with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Right-click on the screen to open the menu.
  3. Select “IPC Channel Configuration” and click the “Search” button.
  4. Click “Add All” to connect the cameras. A “Connected” status indicates a successful connection.
  5. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the camera and NVR, and wait for the camera to switch to WiFi mode.

Install the Camera

  1. Installation Precautions
    • Avoid directing the camera towards strong light or reflective objects, including sunlight, lights, glass, mirrors and other areas with strong refraction of light sources.
    • Do not install at location with objects covering or obscuring the camera.
    • Avoid mounting the camera in places where too dim, and point the camera towards a well-lit area. For better image quality, make sure the camera and the captured subject are at the same lighting conditions.
    • For better image quality, it is recommended to clean the lens with a soft cloth from time to time.
    • Do not expose the power port to water or moisture, or blocked by dirt or other things.
    • Do not install the camera where rain and snow may hit the lens directly.
    • Camera may work in extremely cold conditions as low as -10°C because it will produce heat when powered on. You may power the camera indoors for a few minutes before installing it outdoors (Only for outdoor cameras)

NOTE:

  1. Set up the network before installing the camera.
  2. Run the cables through the cable notch on the mount base before installing the camera.

A : Mount the Camera to the Wall

  1. Drill holes according to the mounting template and insert the anchors.
  2. Install the mount base with screws.
  3. Install the top bracket of the camera to the base and tighten the knob of the camera bracket.
  4. To adjust the camera direction, you may control the camera to pan and tilt via Zosi App or Client.

B : Mount the Camera to the Ceiling

  1. Drill holes according to the mounting template and insert the anchors.
  2. Install the mount base with screws.
  3. Install the top bracket of the camera to the base and tighten the knob of the camera bracket.
  4. To adjust the camera direction, you may control the camera to pan and tilt via Zosi App or Client.

Installation Distance, Height and Angle

Distance : Best accuracy for objects within 5-50 ft (1.5-15 m).
Angle : Tilt the camera down about 30°-60°from the horizontal position.
Height : Install the camera 8-16 ft (2.5-5m) above the ground.

NOTE : The accuracy of human detection will be affected by various factors, such as the distance between the person and the camera, the height of the person, the height and angle of the camera, etc. The accuracy and distance of detection will also be affected in
the night vision environment.

FAQ

Q: Does the camera support motion detection and image capture?

A: It captures images automatically when people, are detected or when there is a change in detected images. Users can also manually capture images using our ZOSI Smart APP.

Q: The Wireless Connection of the Camera is Not Working during Pre-installation Testing?

A: Please try resetting the camera and connecting it to the NVR with an Ethernet cable before adding it.

Q: The Camera is Not Powered On?

A: If the camera still cannot be powered on after changing the power supply, please check if the camera's infrared lights are lit. If the infrared lights are not lit,, the camera may be damaged and needs to be returned or exchanged.
