Troubleshooting
- Light does not turn on:
- Check Power: Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted, or that the device is charged.
- Check Mode: Make sure the switch is set to ‘AUTO’ or ‘ON’, not ‘OFF’.
- Ambient Light: In ‘AUTO’ mode, the light will only activate in dark conditions. Test in a dark room.
- Sensor Obstruction: Ensure the PIR sensor is not blocked.
- Motion Range: Move closer to the sensor to ensure you are within its detection range.
- Light stays on continuously in ‘AUTO’ mode:
- Constant Motion: Ensure there isn’t continuous motion within the sensor’s range (e.g., a pet, fan, or curtain moving).
- Sensor Malfunction: If no motion is present, try turning the device off and on again. If the issue persists, the sensor might be faulty.
- Light turns on too frequently or not frequently enough:
- Placement: Adjust the placement of the night light. Avoid placing it near heat sources (which can trigger PIR sensors) or in direct sunlight.
- Sensor Sensitivity: Some models may have adjustable sensitivity. Refer to your product’s specific features.
- Light is dim:
- Low Batteries: Replace batteries or recharge the device.
- Dust/Dirt: Clean the light surface.
