  23. To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect the solar photovoltaic panels, batteries, and home grid before attempting any instructed servicing.
  24. When charging the battery, work in a well-ventilated area and do not restrict ventilation in any way, as inadequate ventilation may cause permanent damage to the equipment.
  25. Do not clean the product with harmful chemicals or detergents. Only clean it with a dry cloth.
  26. Do not move or shake the unit while operating, as vibrations and sudden impacts may lead to poor connections to the hardware inside.
  27. Ensure that the product and the batteries are installed securely to avoid accidents and product damage caused by falling.
  28. In case of a fire, only a dry powder fire extinguisher is suitable for this product.
  29. Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel knowledgeable about batteries and the required precautions.

Disposal Guide

  1. Fully Discharge the Battery (if possible): Before disposal, ensure the battery is fully discharged. This can reduce potential hazards. Always refer to local laws and guidelines for battery recycling and disposal procedures.
  2. Handling Failed Batteries: If the battery cannot be fully discharged due to malfunction or product failure, consult a licensed battery recycling facility or professional for proper and safe handling.
  3. Segregation of Battery Types: Ensure batteries or cells from different electrochemical systems (e.g., lithium-ion, nickel-metal hydride) are disposed of separately. Mixing different types of batteries can lead to chemical reactions or safety risks.
  4. Avoid Physical Damage: Do not expose the battery to physical impacts, punctures, or high temperatures during disposal, as it may lead to leakage, fire, or explosion.
  5. Follow Local Regulations: Always adhere to local regulations and guidelines for battery disposal, as improper handling can harm the environment and violate legal requirements.

  1. Top Battery Port: Connects to the SolarFlow 2400 AC or other AB3000X batteries, allowing for expanded capacity.
  2. Mounting Brackets: These brackets securely attach the AB3000X battery to a vertical wall, preventing tipping when stacking multiple units. Not included with this product — only in the SolarFlow 2400 AC package.
  3. Bottom Battery Port: Connects to additional AB3000X batteries for parallel expansion.

LED Guide

The Add-on Battery does not have an LED indicator. It reads the status of the batteries based on the LED indicators on inverters such as the SolarFlow 2400 AC.

Tips
The battery indicator may not light up under the following conditions, indicating an unsuccessful connection.

You can take the following actions:

  • If there is no solar connection or sunlight during installation, the AB3000X may be out of power. Do not unplug the battery connection cable. Wait for solar input and check the battery indicator again.
  • If the AB3000X enters protection mode, press and hold the power button for 6 seconds to turn off the system. Then, press and hold the IoT button for 2 seconds to restart it. Wait approximately 5 minutes and check the battery indicator again.
  • If the issue persists, do not unplug any cables. Please contact the Zendure support team for assistance.

Getting Started

Choose an Appropriate Location

  1. Place the AB3000X battery on a level surface, ensuring it is flush against the wall.
  2. Choose a shaded location with an optimal temperature range of 15° C to 35° C (59° F to 95° F) to maintain optimal performance.
  3. Position the AB3000X in an area with strong WiFi coverage for seamless app connectivity.
  4. Install the battery in a secure, frost-free location, away from emergency access areas.ZENDURE-AB3000X-Add-On-Battery-fig-7

Connecting Multiple AB3000X Batteries
Carefully align the AB3000X Battery Ports and gently place the battery into position. Vertically stacked AB3000X batteries do not require a battery cable for connection.ZENDURE-AB3000X-Add-On-Battery-fig-8

Tips

  • Turn off the storage system before making any connections.
  • Do not connect the batteries while charging or discharging.
  • Avoid touching the metal pins of the ports with your hands or any objects. If necessary, clean them gently with a dry cloth.

Connecting the SolarFlow 2400 AC
Solid Red Battery error detected; check the system for troubleshooting. Slow Yellow Blink: Low temperature detected; the battery pack is heating to reach operational temperature.

Tips
Ensure the System (SolarFlow 2400 AC) is powered off before connecting or disconnecting any cables (including solar cable, AC cable to outlet).

  • Unplug AC outlets from the home grid, and then disconnect the solar panel cable.
  • Power off the SolarFlow 2400 AC: Press and hold the power button on the SolarFlow 2400 AC for 6 seconds to turn it off.
  1. Remove the Protective Cover. Remove the battery terminal protective cover at the bottom of the SolarFlow 2400 AC.
  2. Connect to the Battery. Place the SolarFlow 2400 AC on AB3000X, ensuring the battery cable terminals lock into place. A SolarFlow 2400 AC can be connected to up to 6 AB3000X batteries, reaching a maximum capacity of 17,280 Wh.
    • Do not disconnect them during the charging/discharging process.
    • Do not touch the metal pins of the ports with your hands or other objects. Gently clean them with a dry cloth when necessary.ZENDURE-AB3000X-Add-On-Battery-fig-9

Mounting AB3000X Batteries
This is especially important when stacking multiple batteries, as the mounting kit (included with the SolarFlow 2400 AC but not in the AB3000X package) is designed to secure only the topmost battery in the stack, ensuring it remains stable and firmly in place.

Step 1: Positioning

  • Place the AB3000X and SolarFlow 2400 AC unit in the designated installation location, ensuring adequate clearance between the device and the wall.

Step 2: Securing Part 1

  • Align the slots on Part 1 with the mounting rivets on the edge of the AB3000X and press down firmly until locked in place.
  • Insert Screw 3 through the top hole of Part 1, aligning it with the mounting hole at the base of the SolarFlow unit, and tighten using a hex screwdriver (not included).

Step 3: Adjusting and Securing Part 2

  • Insert Screw 1 into the sliding rail of Part 2 and loosely attach it to the lower hole of Part 1.
  • Slide Part 2 horizontally until it is perpendicular to the wall and its mounting surface sits flush against it.

Step 4: Wall Preparation and Final Fixing

  • Mark the positions of the mounting holes where Part 2 contacts the wall, then move Part 2 aside to create space for drilling.
  • Use a power drill (not included; M6 drill bit recommended) to drill holes at the marked spots and insert plastic wall anchors.
  • Secure Part 2 by inserting Screw 2 through its mounting holes and tightening it into the wall anchors. Then, fully tighten Screw 1 to ensure the device is stable and secure.ZENDURE-AB3000X-Add-On-Battery-fig-11

Note: The package includes two sets of brackets. Repeat the steps on the other side of the device for dual-end fixation, enhancing stability.
