Introduction
This guide provides basic instructions for setting up, programming, and using the 7000-CS6080 scanner.
Firmware
Welch Allyn Connex® Spot Monitors -Firmware 1.40.10 A0002 or greater is required for use with 7000-CS6080.

Installing the Corded USB Converter Cable
Use the USB Converter Cable to connect the corded scanner to a device or stand.
Inserting the USB Cable
- Insert the corded USB Converter Cable into the scanner.
- Connect the other end of the corded USB Converter Cable to a USB port on the device or stand.
Removing the USB Cable
To remove the corded USB Converter Cable, press the release and pull the cable away from the scanner.
To scan a barcode:
- Aim the scanner at the barcode.
- Press the Scan button (…).
- Ensure the aiming dot is centered on the barcode.
The scanner beeps and the LED turns green to indicate a successful *Good Read*.
To actuate the buttons, press the button recess.
For subsequent button actuations, remove force, and then re-apply force.

Assembly Instruction for 7000-APM or 7000-MWS Stands
Below are the steps to assemble
7000-CS6800 Scanner with the 7000-APM or 7000-MWS Stands:
- Peel off the adhesive sticker from the holster.
- Attach the holster to the stand, as indicated by the arrow in image 2.
- After attaching the holster to the stand, you can hang the 7000-CS6080 Scanner using that holster.
- When the scanner is hung to the holster, please insert the USB converter cable in the hole as indicated by the arrow in image 4.
Below are the steps to assemble 7000-CS6800 Scanner with the 7000-MS3 Stand:
- Please recycle the holster which is only used with the 7000-APM/7000-MWS stands.
- The 7000-CS6080 scanner can be placed in the wire basket.
Cleaning and Disinfection
The 7000-CS6080 is manufactured to withstand the most popular cleaners used in the health care market.
- Isopropyl alcohol 70% (including wipes)
- 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and 9% Water Solution
- 10% Bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite 0.55%) and 90% Water Solution
- 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and 97% water solution

Troubleshooting

CAUTION: All components must be dry before connecting to an external power source.

In order to avoid or minimize the potential risk of ergonomic injury, always follow good ergonomic workplace practices. Consult with your local Health & Safety Manager to ensure that you are adhering to your company’s safety programs to prevent employee injury.
Safety in Hospitals and Aircraft
Wireless devices transmit radio frequency energy that may affect medical electrical equipment and aircraft’s operation.
Wireless devices should be switched off wherever you are requested to do so in hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities or by airline staff. These requests are designed to prevent possible interference with sensitive equipment’s.
WARNING: When using this product basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
The area in which the units are charged should be clear of debris and combustible materials or chemicals. Particular care should be taken where the device is charged in a non-commercial environment.
- Read all the instructions before using the product.
To charge the mobile device, the charger temperatures must be between 0°C and +40°C (+32°F and +104°F).
Do not use incompatible chargers. Use of an incompatible charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard. If you have any questions about the compatibility of a charger, contact Baxter service support.
Do not leave or store the equipment in or near areas that might get very hot, such as in a parked vehicle or near a radiator or other heat source. Do not place the device into a microwave oven or dryer.
To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when used near children.
Please follow local regulations to promptly dispose of used re-chargeable charger.
If you suspect damage to your equipment, contact Baxter service support to arrange for inspection.
Do not use a power pack in excess of its output rating.
Overload outputs may result in risk of fire or injury to persons.
Have service performed by a qualified Baxter service representative. This will ensure safety of the product is maintained.

Reducing RF Exposure – Use Properly
Only operate the device in accordance with the instructions supplied.
The device complies with internationally recognized standards covering human exposure to electromagnetic fields. For information on international human exposure to electromagnetic fields, refer to the Zebra Declaration of Conformity (DoC) at zebra.com/doc.
Use only Zebra tested and approved headset, belt-clips, holsters, and similar accessories to ensure RF exposure compliance. If applicable, follow the instructions for use as detailed in the accessory guide.
The use of third-party belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories may not comply with RF exposure compliance requirements and should be avoided.
