Description
The PENN A19D Series Surface Mounted Temperature Controls are reliable, durable On/Off temperature controls featuring line-voltage single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches. These controls are primarily designed for fluid piping applications and include two adjustable mounting straps for direct mounting onto a pipe. For detailed product application information, refer to the A19D Series Surface Mounted Temperature Controls Product Bulletin (LIT-125070).
Image shows a single A19D Series Surface Mounted Temperature Control unit. It is a dark gray, rectangular enclosure with a black adjustment knob on its top surface. To the right of the unit are two metallic mounting straps designed to attach the control to a pipe.
Features
- SPDT switch action provides either high or low temperature detection.
- Sealed, dust-protected switch ensures reliable and durable On/Off control for commercial and industrial applications.
- Color-coded electrical terminals simplify wiring.
- Sensing element is insulated from the control case, minimizing the effects of ambient temperature on the control setpoint.
- Convertible range adjuster kit offers knob, screwdriver, or concealed adjustment options.
- Multi-position mounting capability allows installation in any position on horizontal, vertical, or angled pipes.
- NEMA 1 enclosure provides protection against contact with electrical components and terminals from incidental contact.
Applications
Typical applications for the A19D Series controls include high temperature detection on boiler applications and low temperature detection on unit heater coils.
