The ADA101 uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with the mobile device. Pairing should only be done through the ADA ELD app, not directly from mobile device settings.

ADA101 is an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) used in conjunction with the ADA ELD mobile app. This device is manufactured by PacificTrack and is also known as PT30. The device must be installed in the vehicle and connected to the diagnostic port interface (J1939).

  1. DO NOT pair Bluetooth in your phone/tablet settings. The connection will be established in the ADA ELD app. However, if your phone/tablet prompts you or asks you for permission to turn on Bluetooth, you need to do that since Bluetooth is needed for the device to communicate with the app.
  2. Plug the device into the vehicle port, BEFORE turning on the vehicle and BEFORE running the ADA ELD app.

Bluetooth

The ADA101 uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with the mobile device. Do not try and pair with the ADA101 directly from your mobile device settings. The link between the ADA101 and the mobile device has to be established only using the ADA ELD app (see the ADA ELD User Manual for more details).
