The Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is a portable power solution designed for versatility and quiet operation. It provides 4500 peak watts and 3700 rated watts, capable of running on either gasoline or propane. This generator is equipped with a remote electric start, an RV-ready 30A outlet, and multiple household outlets, making it suitable for recreational activities, home backup, or job site power.

Your Westinghouse iGen4500DF generator comes with all necessary accessories to get started. This includes engine oil and a funnel for initial setup, a propane hose for connecting to an LP tank, a battery charger, a remote start key fob, a quick-start guide, and the full owner's manual. A small tool bag containing a screwdriver (Phillips/flat head) and a spark plug wrench is also provided for basic maintenance.

- קאַרבאָן מאַנאַקסייד ריזיקירן: Generators produce carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator בלויז outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed space.

3. סעטאַפּ גייד
3.1 אַנפּאַקינג און דורכקוק
Carefully remove the generator and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. If any damage is found, contact customer support immediately.
3.2 אַדינג מאָטאָר אָיל
The generator is shipped without engine oil. Before first use, add the provided 4-stroke engine oil using the funnel. Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick on the side of the generator. Fill to the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.

3.3 Connecting Fuel
The iGen4500DF operates on either gasoline or propane. Choose your preferred fuel source.
For Gasoline Operation:

- Open the fuel cap and fill the gasoline tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane). Do not overfill.

For Propane (LP) Operation:
- זייט זיכער אז דער גענעראַטאָר איז אויסגעלאָשן און קיל.
- Connect the provided propane hose to a standard 20 lb (or larger) propane tank.
- Connect the other end of the hose to the propane inlet on the generator's control panel.

3.4 באַטערי קאַנעקשאַן
The generator's battery may be disconnected for shipping. Locate the battery access cover (refer to Figure 3.1) and ensure the battery terminals are securely connected. The generator comes with a battery charger; ensure the battery is adequately charged for electric start functionality.

4.2 אנפאנגען דעם גענעראַטאָר
Ensure the generator is on a level surface outdoors, away from any structures.
Using Electric Start:
- זיכער מאַכן אַז אַלע עלעקטרישע לאָודז זענען אָפּגעטיילט פֿון דעם גענעראַטאָר.
- Select the desired fuel type (Gasoline or Propane) using the Fuel Selector switch.
- Turn the Engine Shut-Off switch to the 'ON' position.
- Press and hold the 'START' button on the control panel until the engine starts.
Using Remote Start (Key Fob):
- Follow steps 1-3 for Electric Start.
- Press the 'START' button on the remote key fob.
Using Recoil Start:
- Follow steps 1-3 for Electric Start.

- If operating on propane, close the valve on the propane tank.
4.4 Using the Outlets
Once the generator is running, you can connect your electrical devices. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's rated output (3700 watts). For sensitive electronics, the iGen4500DF provides clean power with low THD.

Engage the 'Eco Mode' switch to allow the engine speed to automatically adjust to the load. This feature optimizes fuel consumption and reduces noise levels when full power is not required.

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your generator. Always ensure the generator is off and cool before performing any maintenance.

For long-term storage (more than 30 days), drain the fuel tank and carburetor (if using gasoline) or disconnect the propane tank. Add fuel stabilizer if gasoline will remain in the tank. Store the generator in a clean, dry place.
