1. Fueling Your Zippo Lighter
Your Zippo lighter is shipped without fuel for safety. Use only genuine Zippo lighter fluid for optimal performance.
- Open the lighter and remove the inner unit (insert) from the case.
- Lift the felt pad on the bottom of the insert to expose the packing material.
- Slowly saturate the packing material with Zippo lighter fluid until the cotton is wet. Do not overfill.
- Replace the felt pad and insert the unit back into the case.
- Wipe any excess fluid from the lighter and your hands before igniting.
2. Flint Check
Ensure the flint is properly seated and provides a strong spark. If not, refer to the Maintenance section for flint replacement.

- Ignite the Flame: Hold the lighter firmly and spin the flint wheel downwards with your thumb to create a spark. The spark will ignite the fuel-soaked wick.
- Maintain Flame: Keep the lid open to maintain the flame.
- Extinguish Flame: Close the lid to extinguish the flame. Do not blow out the flame.

1. ריפיולינג
Refuel your Zippo lighter as described in the "Setup" section when the flame becomes weak or fails to ignite. Frequency depends on usage.
2. Replacing the Flint
If the flint wheel spins but no spark is produced, the flint needs replacement.
- Remove the inner unit from the case.
- Unscrew the flint spring at the bottom of the insert. Be careful, as the spring is under tension.
- Remove the old flint and insert a new Zippo flint into the tube.
- Replace the flint spring and tighten it securely. Do not overtighten.
- Insert the unit back into the case.
3. Trimming the Wick
If the flame becomes inconsistent or difficult to light, the wick may need trimming.
- Using tweezers or pliers, gently pull the wick up until a clean, unburned section is exposed.
- Trim the wick even with the top of the chimney using scissors.
- Reshape the wick to ensure it is centered and straight.
