Installation Instructions
- Using the manual override key

- Installing the batteries
IMPORTANT: Use good quality alkaline batteries. DO NOT use rechargeable batteries. If batteries are low, the red LED will start flashing.
- Download the Yale Home App
Set up your Smart Safe in the Yale Home App.
- Pair Smart Safe to App
You will need the QR code or serial number located on the inside of the door. The safe will be in Bluetooth pairing mode for 5 minutes after batteries are inserted. If Bluetooth pairing times out, press any button on the keypad.
- Pair Smart Safe to Connect WiFi Bridge
Note serial number located on back of Connect. Plug Connect into an outlet within 3 metres from the Smart Safe. You’ll need your Connect’s serial number located on the back of the device. Follow the instructions in the App to set up users and entry code.
- Unlocking the safe using the keypad
Use a valid 4 to 6 digit code. The safe will lock down for five minutes after 5 incorrect entries. To lock the safe close the door and press any button.
- Closing the safe
First set up: Safe will not close by using the entry code until the safe has been closed using the override key.
- If the internal batteries are completely dead
Please make sure to use a high quality 9V battery.
- Setup keypad without App (Standalone mode)
Open safe by override key and insert battery (Green LED slowly blink). Keep safe unlock and open.
Setup Master Code:
Press factory reset button (Green LED quickly blink).
- Enter 4-6 digital code
- Press

- Re-enter code
- Press
(Hear a sound and LED stop)
Setup User Code:
- Enter Master Code
- Press
(enter set up mode) - Enter 21

- Enter 4-6 digital code. Press
(Hear a sound)
