To Open

1. Storage Position
2. Always Open the ladder steps first by titling the top step
3. Next raise the safety handrail
   WARNING: Handrail must be down to open the step ladder. Failure to do so may result in damage
4. Listen for the audible click to ensure safety handrail is in the locked position

To Close

1. 
2. Always retract the safety handrail first by squeezing the handles at the base of the handrail
3. Next retract the steps by tilting the steps up
   WARNING: Handrail must be retracted before closing the steps. Failure to do so may result in damage
4. Storage Position
