Product Usage Instructions

  • Press the switches on the left and right sides of the upper cover to open it.
  • Hold the upper cover with one hand and rotate it to the left to open it.
  • Place the printer on a stable surface and ensure the power is turned off.
  • Function of the key: Form feed – When the printer is in standby state, press the paper button once.

Machine assembling

  1. Please place the printer on a stable surface and confirm that the power is turned off.
  2. Connect the connectors at both ends of the USB data cable to the printer and computer host, respectively.
  3. Plug the power cord into the power socket at the back of the printer and plug the other end into the AC socket.

Mounting paper

  1. Press the switches on the left and right sides of the upper cover with Both hands to open the printer’s upper cover.
  2. Load the paper roll into the label supply shaft and secure the paper roll to the center of the supply shaft using a paper roll fixing piece.
  3. Place the paper roll on the paper bin(, If you are using a 4-inch wide paper roll, you can remove the fixing piece. Directly use the paper roll)

  5. Pull out the front end of the paper (printing side up),After passing through the paper guide and the paper sensor, insert the paper. Pull over the rubber roller, adjust the paper guide to be the same width as the paper and slightly touch it.
  6. Press down with both hands at the arrow in the figure below to close the print head. Please confirm that the print head is fully closed to ensure printing quality.

Carbon belt installation

  1. Hold the upper cover with one hand and rotate it to the left to open the printer’s upper cover.Winprt-4B-WF-Bar-Code-Printer-fig-7
  2. Insert the empty paper roll into the carbon belt recycling shaft.Winprt-4B-WF-Bar-Code-Printer-fig-8
  3. Press the left side (hexagonal end) of the recycling shaft into the carbon belt recycling wheel, and then install the right side.Winprt-4B-WF-Bar-Code-Printer-fig-9
  4. Press the print head switch to turn on the print head.Winprt-4B-WF-Bar-Code-Printer-fig-10
  5. Insert the carbon belt into the carbon belt supply shaft.
  6. Press the left side (hexagonal end) of the supply shaft into the carbon belt supply wheel, and then install the right side.
  7. The carbon tape bypasses the print head and is smoothly glued to the carbon tape recovery shaft (empty paper roll)
  8. Rotate the carbon belt recycling wheel in the direction of the arrow in the following figure until the black area of the carbon belt covers the print head. Tighten the carbon tape until there are no wrinkles on it.
  9. Press down with both hands at the arrow in the figure below to close the print head. Please confirm the print head is completely closed to ensure printing quality.

General key function

  1. Function of the key
    1. Formfeed
      When the printer is in standby state, press the paper button once to automatically feed a label.
  2. Pause
    When the printer is printing, press the paper walking button to pause the printing operation. At this time, the power indicator is flashing blue.
    Press the paper walking button again and the printing operation will continue.
  3. Self-check page
    When the printer is off, press the paper button and turn it on until the red light and blue light flash for 3 times and then let go.
  4. Correction paper
    Press and hold the button on the cover to turn on the printer after placing the paper. Wait until the red light flashes three times before letting go.
  5. Initialize the printer
    Turn off the printer and press the button on the cover before turning it on.
    Wait until the blue light flashes three times before releasing.

Trouble removal

Print head damage

Daily maintenance and maintenance

  1. When the printer appears in the following situation, clean the print head and cots
    1. The printing is not clear
    2. Big noise in and out of the paper
    3. There are foreign bodies stuck on the printing head
  2. The printing head/cots should be cleaned 3-5 minutes after the printing is finished. The steps are as follows:
    1. Turn off the printer power supply and open the top cover.
    2. Wipe the dust on the surface of the printing head/cots with a wrung alcohol cotton ball;
  3. After 5-10 minutes, start printing after the alcohol is completely volatilized.

Recommendation: Clean print heads, cots, and sensors regularly according to the above steps.

Pay attention:

  • Do not touch the print head directly with your hands.
  • Please use medicinal alcohol to clean the print head. Do not use Industrial alcohol to avoid damage to the print head.
  • If the printer experiences frequent error messages, try cleaning the printer’s sensor.
