Connect to the Host
- Step 1: Plug the DisplayPort into the DisplayPort on the Laptop/Desktop.
- Step 2: Plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI port of the Adapter.
- Step 3: Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the Monitor/Projector/HD TV.
Note:
The converter does not support bi-directional transfer, it converts DisplayPort signal to HDMI monitors, and can not converts HDMI signal to DisplayPort devices.

Q1: What are Active DisplayPort Adapter and Passive DisplayPort Adapter?
A1 : An Active Adapter performs the conversion from DisplayPort lo VGA, DVI or HDMI instead of the source device. The Adapter converts both single-mode and dual-mode output, so the video source don’t have to support DP++. The Active Adapters are ideal for use with graphic cards that do not output dual-mode signals.
In contrast, an Passive Adapter is ideal for use with the video source that supports dual-mode DipslayPort(DP++), the DP++ video source performs the conversion from DisplayPort lo VGA, DVI or HDMI instead of the Adapter.
