Getting Started
How to Exit Try Me Mode: This product is in
Try-Me mode when unpacked. Turn the Motorized Train off and on
again to proceed with normal play.
Battery Removal and Installation:
- Make sure the unit is turned Off.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the Motorized Train and
use a screwdriver to open it. - Remove old batteries and install 3 new AAA batteries following
the diagram inside the battery box. - Use alkaline or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries for
best performance. - Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.
Assembly Instructions
- Connect the station track to the train station.
- Attach the railway crossing sign and gates to complete the
Railroad Crossing. - Connect the water tower to the water tower track to complete
the Water Tower. - Attach guardrails and bridge ramps to form the Bridge, ensuring
correct direction. - Attach tunnel support, rocks, and tunnel to create a
Tunnel. - Attach tree top to the tree trunk and farmhouse to the farm
structure. - Place gate switches on designated tracks.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if the unit powers down while playing?
A: Try changing the batteries with new AAA
(AM-4/LR03) batteries as per the battery removal instructions.
Q: Can I use rechargeable batteries with this product?
A: Yes, you can use rechargeable batteries. For

GETTING STARTED
How to Exit Try Me Mode This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. After opening the package, turn the Motorized Train off and on again to proceed with normal play. If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries.
Battery Removal and Installation
1. Make sure the unit is turned Off. 2. Find the battery cover located on the back of the Motorized Train,
use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover. 3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 3 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
· Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -). · Do not mix old and new batteries. · Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
batteries. · Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended
are to be used. · Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. · Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. · Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. · Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: · Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before
charging. · Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult
supervision. · Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
With the VTech® My First Motorized Train SetTM, safety comes first. To ensure your child’s safety, adult assembly is required. Assemble and attach the track components following the steps as below: 1. Attach a gate to the train station track, then attach the train
station track to the train station.
2. Attach the railway crossing sign and two gates to the railroad crossing track to complete the Railroad Crossing.
I 3. Attach the water tower to the water tower track to complete
the Water Tower.

4. Attach the two guardrails to the sides of the bridge track. Attach the two bridge ramps to form the Bridge. Please pay attention to the direction of guardrails and bridge ramps during installation .

5. Attach the tunnel support and the rocks to the tunnel track. Attach the tunnel into the tunnel support and slide it onto the tunnel track to create a Tunnel.

6. Snap the tree top onto the tree trunk. This tree button will spin the sheep. Attach the farmhouse to the side of the farm. Then, attach this farm structure to the side of the farm track.

All pieces have now been assembled. Please select from the below configurations to create the train track that best fits your space and needs.
Main Configuration This is the most compact assembly using all of the pieces. It has a footprint of approximately 43.1″ x 39.3″. Begin by assembling the train pieces as shown:(Colors may vary.)

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. On/Off Switch To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off Switch to the On ( ) position. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off Switch to the Off ( ) position.
2. Automatic Shut-Off To preserve battery life, when the Motorized Train is off the track, it will automatically power down after approximately 5 minutes without input. When the Motorized Train is on the track, it will continue running without entering sleep mode, until it automatically shuts off.
Note: This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. After opening the package, turn the SmartPoint® Motorized Train off and on again to proceed with normal play. If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries.
3. Mode switch To switch the mode, slide the Mode Switch to the Play Mode ( ) or the Imagination Mode ( ) or the Learning Mode ( ) position. You will hear sounds when switching to Imagination Mode or a song and phrase when switching to Play or Learning Modes. Play Mode is more focused on pretend play responses while Learning Mode features early alphabet, first word, and vocabulary-building responses.

For your child’s safety, use the Motorized Train only on the Go! Go! Smart Wheels® Checkered Flag Motorized Track SetTM. Do not roll the train on your clothing, body or hair while the vehicle is turned on. Do not block the path of the Motorized Train with any part of your body when the train is moving forward or backward. If something gets caught in the train’s wheels while the motor is on, lift the train up so the base and wheels are is no longer touching your child or slide the power switch to the off position to turn off the motor. Adult supervision required.

ACTIVITIES
Motorized Train
1. Press the Light-up Button to hear fun phrases, songs, sounds and melodies. The light will flash with the sounds.
2. Press the Stop Button to hear brake sounds and to stop the motor. Release the Stop Button to resume the motor.
3. Place the Motorized Train on one of the playset’s six SmartPoint® locations to see the Motorized Train’s lights flash and to hear fun sounds, short tunes and phrases.

1. Use the train track’s different locations (Train Station, Tunnel, and Farm) to trigger the stop button and halt the train.
2. Trigger various mechanical features for fun effects or to create
engaging pretend play opportunities.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat
sources. 3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended
period of time. 4. Do not drop the unit on a hard surface and do not expose the unit
to moisture or water. 5. If the unit stops working or malfunctions, install a new set of
batteries.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps: 1. Turn the unit Off. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. 4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to play again. 5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
