Installation

Inserting SIM Card and SD Card:

  1. Extract the slot using the supplied PIN, with the camera speaker facing upwards.
  2. Insert the nano SIM card and the SD card for data storage, ensuring the contacts are facing upwards.

Note: It is recommended to disable the SIM PIN code using a telephone.

Camera Installation
Before installation, ensure that the positions do not affect connectivity and usage, especially for proper solar panel exposure.
Use the bracket and screws provided to mount the camera on a wall.

Installation Note: Avoid installing the camera in backlit or excessively bright conditions for optimal performance.

Operation

  • ON/OFF: Press the button for 3 seconds to turn the camera on or off.
  • Reset: Hold the button for 5 seconds to reset the camera.

Installation

Camera installation
Before installation, please check that the installation positions will not affect the connection and usage, especially to ensure that the solar panel can be fully illuminated.
Use the wall bracket to attach the camera to a wall using the screws in equipment.

Solar panel installation
Place the solar panel in an area with direct sunlight all year round.
The amount of energy produced by the solar panel is influenced by weather conditions, seasonal changes, geographical location, etc.

How To Position Your Solar Panel
Angle the solar panel according to your latitude. Point it south if in the northen hemisphere (example for Italy) and north if in the southern hemisphere.

  1. Fix the base to your mounting location using the screws.

  3. Screw the universal joint into the back of the panel. Tighten it firmly the counter nut.

  5. Adjust the panel, loosening the locking screw capture the sleeve rod, and tighten the locking screw cap when the panel is in position.VIMAR-46243-030CL-Mpx-Camera-With-Solar-Panel-IMAGE (10)
  6. Connect the panel to the camera.
    Please check that all locking mechanisms are tightly secured.

Important! Wipe the face of the solar panel with a soft ,damp cloth regularly to clear any dust or debris.

Battery charging and configuration

Power up the camera

  1. Attention, recharge the battery for at least 8 hours before first use, the solar panel is not able to recharge a completely discharged battery, proceed by connecting a power supply (5V 1A, not included) to the battery using the USB cable.
  2. Turn on the camera and wait for the LED to status flashes, you will hear spoken feedback (“Camera ON”and then“ Camera setup ”).

ATTENTION: Rechargeable Lithium batteries, non-replaceable 2 x 3.7V / 4800 mAh.

Install the App on the smartphone
Download and install the Vimar “VIEW Product” App on your smartphone by searching for it directly in the App Reference store.

First access

  • If you already have a account for MyVIMAR.
    Open the App and log in with their credentials.
  • Otherwise create a new account by tapping on the appropriate link “Create a new account “.
    Carry out the following directions in the APP, enter credentials and proceed with step 4.4.

Add a camera
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
Adding via QR Code: use the camera to scan the displayed QR code on your smartphone.

Note: after turning on the camera, the status LED lights up as described in the “Status LED” table. After the beep, the device LED will flash rapidly.

Tap “Add device + 1

  • Select device 2
  • Enable next step, continue according to the instructions on the screen 3 and continue with the procedure to view the QR code.

4 A QR code will be displayed on the smartphone, face the phone screen towards the camera at a distance of 15-20 cm from the lens, a beep will sound after a few seconds, tap on “heard the beep”.
5 Wait for the connection to complete, after a few seconds the device will be successfully added and the solid blue LED will indicate the successful connection.

NOTE: If you encounter an offline problem, do the following

  1. check the availability of data traffic from your operator;
  2. try turning the camera off and on again;
  3. check the battery charge.

ATTENTION: in order to safeguard your data and your own safety, in the case of returning the product it is recommended to delete the camera from the App where it is associated and remove the SIM and SD memory card.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS

  • The LTE connection varies depending on the phone operator; check in advance the one in your area which guarantees best coverage and purchase the corresponding SIM card.
  • We recommend you use a SIM card with a data contract with traffic of at least 2 GB/month.
  • Before inserting the SIM card in the camera, disable the PIN code prompt.
    To do this, insert the SIM card in your smartphone and follow the instructions provided to disable the PIN.

Operation disclaimer for cameras

  • The camera allows images to be viewed on the buyer’s (hereinafter “Customer”) smartphone and / or tablet, by simply installing the Vimar VIEW Product application.
  • The visualization of the images is allowed only through the presence of a connection with Internet access.
  • To use the service The Customer must have technical equipment that allows connection to the Internet and sign an agreement with an ISP (Internet Service Provider); this agreement may involve related costs. Vimar remains unaffected by the choice of technical equipment and the agreement with the ISP (Internet Service Provider). The consumption of data through the use of the Vimar VIEW
  • Product App, both in the home / building and outside the network that the Customer has used for installation, remains the responsibility of the Customer.

The interaction and correct operation remotely via the Vimar VIEW Product App, through the Internet network of your mobile phone / data provider, with the camera installed by the Customer may depend on

  • type, brand and model of the smartphone or tablet;
  • quality of the Wi-Fi signal or your mobile phone/data provider;
  • type of the home internet access contract;

The camera supports connection via P2P technology, it is therefore necessary to check that your ISP (Internet Service Provider) does not block it.

  • We advise against installing the camera with the power supply unit constantly connected 24 hours a day. Too long a charging time could have negative effects on the performance and life of the battery.
  • Do not charge the battery with the power supply when the camera temperature is below 0 °C.
  • We recommend you charge the battery completely before use.
