Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the TRANSfourMER module, or at least for considering it as a possible addition to your modular system.
Probably a quick look at its front panel will be enough for you to understand what it does and how it works. No doubt, you could install and use it without any further information. However, we encourage you to read the entire manual. It won’t take much of your life, but you might benefit from one or two hints.

Installation
We would be surprised if TRANSfourMER is the first module you install in an Eurorack case. But we won’t go on without mentioning the most important steps:
- Switch off your modular system and disconnect it from the mains!
- Connect the 10-pin shrouded connector on the back of TRANSfourMER to the ribbon cable. The colored wire indicates -12 volts. You should use the original cable that came with the module because it can only be connected in the correct position.
- Connect the 16-pin connector on the ribbon cable to a connector on your frame’s system bus. Again, the colored wire indicates -12 volts.
- After double-checking the connection, mount TRANSfourMER in your case using all four M3 screws and washers provided.
- Done! You can connect your power supply to the mains and switch on your modular system. If all connections are correct, the green LED in the middle of the module will light up.
Operation
All four channels of the TRANSfourMER are identical.
IN
Connect the audio signals from your modular system here. It can handle all levels found in the
Eurorack world (±10 Volt).
The first channel’s input is linked to the second one. This means that if you do not connect a plug to the input of the second channel, it will automatically receive the input signal of the first channel. The same applies to channels 3 and 4.
OUT
This provides balanced and galvanically isolated audio signals with a maximum level of +6 dBu (assuming input levels are ±10 volts).
We wanted to make TRANSfourMER as easy to use as possible. Therefore, we deliberately omitted all kinds of controls for adjusting or displaying levels. Instead, we designed the module to always deliver low-noise signals with excellent quality. You can concentrate on the creative (fun) part of eurorack while TRANSfourMER delivers the results to your outboard equipment or DAW.
