Troubleshooting Guide

How can I watch copyrighted content from services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime
Video, etc.?

  • Due to copyright restrictions from Hulu, Netflix, and similar services, the content
MAY NOT be mirrored or cast. To play copyrighted content, please prepare a laptop,
Fire TV Stick, Roku stick, or Chromecast™ and connect it to the projector.

Automatic Screen Fit

  • Go to Homepage > SETTING > SETTINGS > Projection Settings >
Automatic Screen Fit to adjust the projected image to match your screen.

Auto Focus and Auto Keystone Correction do not work properly

  • Ensure the projector is not positioned at an angle of more than 25 degrees towards
    the screen/wall.
  • Ensure the camera surface is clean and there are no obstructions in front of the
camera that might hinder its view of the screen/wall.

Automatic Obstacle Avoidance

  • Go to Homepage > SETTING > SETTINGS > Projection Settings >
Automatic Obstacle Avoidance to detect and avoid obstacles in specific areas.

Reduce/enlarge the image size

  • Go to Homepage > SETTING > SETTINGS > Projection Settings > Digital
Zoom to enlarge or reduce the image size from 50% to 100%.
Why can’t I hear any sound when playing videos from my Chromecast™, Roku, or

Fire TV stick on my projector?

  • If you’re not hearing sound while playing videos from Netflix, Hulu, or similar apps, it
may be due to copyright restrictions. To fix this, turn off Dolby or go to TV stick’s
Sound Settings to select Auto Detect or PCM. This allows the projector to decode the
audio, and you should hear sound.

Remote Unresponsive

  • Remote batteries are not included. Please prepare and install them properly.
  • Ensure the remote points at the IR receiver directly.
  • Ensure the remote is within 8 meters of the projector.
  • Do not cover the IR receiver.

Blurry Image

  • Adjust the focus/keystone.
  • The projector and screen/wall must be at an effective distance. The recommended
    distance is 2 meters.

Can I play a video with 4K resolution?

  • Yes, but it will be decoded and displayed as 1080P resolution.

Upside Down Images

  • Go to Homepage > SETTING > SETTINGS > Projection Settings >
Projection Mode to flip the projection image.

Factory Reset

  • Go to Homepage > SETTING > SETTINGS > System Update > Factory Reset
to restore the projector to default settings.

    rejection screen for this feature.
  • It is recommended to use this feature in a dark environment for optimal

Bluetooth Connection

Use as a Bluetooth Speaker
You can connect your mobile device to this projector via a Bluetooth connection and use it as
a Bluetooth speaker.
Step 1: Press the Power Button once and select Speaker Mode.
Step 2: Go to the Bluetooth setting of your mobile device to turn on Bluetooth, then search
for Vankyo from the search list and pair the mobile device with the projector.

Connect to an External Bluetooth Speaker

In addition to the wired 3.5mm audio output port connection, you can also connect a
Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphones to this projector via the Bluetooth connection.
Step 1: Turn on your Bluetooth device and make it ready for a Bluetooth connection.
Step 2: Go to Homepage > Setting > Setting > Bluetooth Setting to turn on the
Bluetooth and search for available Bluetooth devices. Afterward, select your Bluetooth device
and pair it with the projector.

Important:

  • Compared with the wired connection to a speaker, Bluetooth wireless connection
spends more time processing digital audio data, converting said data to an audio
signal, and streaming the signal. There may be a delay or slight lag on audio due to
    signal interference.
  • As a result, the sound on the speaker may not be in sync with the image on the
projector, especially when you are using wireless screen mirroring with Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth wireless connection at the same time.
If you are experiencing this situation, please check the following options to
    improve audio quality:
  • Instead of using wireless screen mirroring with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless
connection at the same time, we recommend using wired screen mirroring and
Bluetooth connection or using HD connection via the provided HD cable and
Bluetooth connection simultaneously. If you still want to use wireless screen
mirroring, it is recommended to output the audio via a wired speaker.
  • Move your Bluetooth device closer to the projector.
  • Keep the projector and your Bluetooth device away from other Bluetooth devices to
    avoid interference.
  • You may be able to adjust the latency (Lip Sync) on your device which is playing the
video. The way to adjust the latency varies with different devices; please consult it
    from the device manufacturer.
  • Due to compatibility issues between Bluetooth speakers/headphones and the
projector, a few Bluetooth devices may not be paired with the projector via Bluetooth
wireless connection. Please contact us at support@ivankyo.com for further
    assistance.
