This manual describes the procedure for installing and configuring the U-Prox PIR Combi VB wireless motion and glass break sensor with the “Vertical Barrier” (“Curtain”) lens. Applications for Customization
U-Prox Installer Mobile Application
An application for setting up the U-Prox wireless security system. It is intended for both individual users and engineers of central monitoring stations. Using a mobile phone, the app allows you to perform full system setup installation, testing, and calibration of wireless elements; configuration of security groups; connection to monitoring centers; and adding users with rights to control the security system via the U-Prox Home app.
Installer Web Portal
The U-Prox Installer WEB portal is designed for configuring the U-Prox wireless security system. It is intended for both individual users and engineers of central monitoring organizations. Using a web browser, you can perform complete configuration of the security system installation, testing, and calibration of wireless elements; configuration of security groups; connection to monitoring centers; and adding users with rights to control the system via the U-Prox Home app.

Description and Principle of Operation
U-Prox PIR Combi VB is a combined digital passive infrared and acoustic radio channel sensor equipped with a PIR sensor, a microphone, and a “Vertical Barrier” lens (also known as “Curtain”) featuring a narrow horizontal field of view. The device is designed for indoor perimeter control to protect glazed structures, windows, doors, garage doors, etc. Based on changes in the thermal balance of the environment or the sound of glass breaking, it sends an intrusion signal to the U-Prox alarm center. Acoustic data processing is performed using an algorithm that analyzes the sequence of a dull impact followed by the ringing sound of falling glass fragments. It is installed indoors. The sensor works exclusively with the U-Prox security system; connection to third-party systems is not supported.

Power Supply
The device uses a CR123A lithium battery, which enables it to operate for up to 5 years on a single battery.

Current Mode Indication
The light indicator displays data transmission and sensor activation. Data exchange with the security center is indicated by the sequential lighting of the LEDs:
a. Sensor activation red b. Data transmission:
Green transmission successful Red data transmission failed c. Receiving confirmation: Green reception successful Red data reception failed Steps 2 and 3 may be repeated up to 3 times (with increased transmission power on repeats).
Installation
7.1 Selecting the Installation Location
Choose the installation location of the U-Prox PIR Combi VB device carefully, considering the direction of the lens and microphone as well as any obstacles that might restrict the sensor’s view. The sensor should be installed so that the area most likely to experience glass breakage or intrusion lies within its maximum field of view, and the intruder’s movement is perpendicular to the installation axis.
To maximize the sensor’s field of view, install it at a height of 2.1 meters from the floor level.

The device must not be placed: 1. Outdoors or in areas with unsuitable humidity and temperature 2. In locations with high levels of radio interference 3. Near objects that could cause attenuation or shielding of the radio signal (e.g., metal, mirrors) 4. So that direct sunlight falls on the sensor lens 5. Opposite objects with rapidly changing temperatures or in areas with strong air circulation 6. Opposite moving objects at approximately human body temperature 7. Closer than 1 meter from the security center
It is recommended to perform the installation in the following sequence: 1. Register the sensor in the security system using the U-Prox Installer app 2. Select the installation location with the optimal signal using the U-Prox Installer app (note that the sensor can be installed either vertically or horizontally) 3. Install the mounting bracket 4. Install the device
Mounting
1. The kit includes two brackets one for angled installation and one for installation on a flat surface
2. Mount the appropriate bracket using the screws and dowels provided in the kit.
3. Install the device on the bracket and slide it downward to secure and lock the tamper contact

(5). Flashes on the indicator light (2) will confirm that the tamper is locked.
For flat surfaces Angled bracket WARNING! WHEN THE DEVICE IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY, THE TAMPER WILL BE CLAMPED (LOCKED).
Turning On and Off
Press and hold the button (8) for 3 seconds to turn on the device the indicator light will be illuminated. If the device has already been registered in the security system, it will switch to standby mode. To turn off the device, press and hold the button (8) for 5 seconds until the indicator light goes off.

WARNING. IF THE DEVICE HAS NOT BEEN REGISTERED, IT WILL ENTER SLEEP MODE AFTER 30 SECONDS.
Settings
Download and install the U-Prox Installer mobile application for system configuration Launch the U-Prox Installer app and log in, or access the system via the U-Prox Installer WEB portal
If necessary, register in the system as an independent installer or gain access as a security company installer.
Adding a Device to the Security System (Registration)
Launch the U-Prox Installer app or open the WEB portal in a browser and log in Select from the list the U-Prox MPX device to which you want to add the wireless sensor Press the button (I) (“Add radio device”) so that the security center enters registration mode for sensors, keypads, etc. In this window, click on the device icons to view activation instructions. According to the instructions, turn on the wireless sensor and bring it to the security center at a distance of about 1 meter Wait 1520 seconds the wireless sensor will be registered
WARNING! THE DEVICE OPERATES IN TWO ADJACENT SECURITY ZONES. IN YOUR CONTROL PANEL SOFTWARE, CONFIGURE THE FIRST ZONE AS “MOTION” AND THE SECOND AS “GLASS BREAK”.
The wireless sensor settings will then open in the app. Configure the device as required.
Basic Settings of U-Prox PIR Combi VB
Select the device you want to configure from the list:
“Name” the device name “Group” select the security group to which the device belongs. A security group is a logical collection of zones within a protected premises (e.g., a room, apartment, garage, or floor of a building) representing the minimal security unit. Security groups allow simultaneous control of all zones; users can view only those groups, devices, and events for which access is granted. “Sensitivity” set the detection range of the sensor: Low (about 6 meters), Medium

(about 8 meters), or High (about 12 meters). “Light indication” enable or disable the device’s light indicator “Temperature limits notification” when the device exceeds the specified temperature limits, it will generate the corresponding events (“Cooling” and “Overheating”), which can be used in various scenarios. “Setting” (zone type) choose the operating mode of the device based on its intended use:
a. “Delayed” or “Entrance zone”: If the system is armed, triggering the sensor starts an entry delay. If the system is not disarmed during this delay, the system switches to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. When arming, an exit delay will start, after which the system will be armed.
b. “Without delay”: If the system is armed, triggering the sensor immediately switches the system to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. If the system is disarmed, sensor triggering is ignored.
c. “Corridor”: If the system is armed and there is no entry delay (or the delay has expired), the system switches to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. If the system is armed and an entry delay is active, sensor triggering is ignored. If the system is disarmed (or if an exit delay is in progress), sensor triggering is ignored.
d. “Internal corridor”: If the system is armed and there is no entry delay (or the delay has expired), the system switches to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. If the system is armed and an entry delay is active, sensor triggering is ignored. If the system is disarmed (or if an exit delay is in progress), sensor triggering is ignored. If the system is armed in Perimeter mode (“Stay” or “Night mode”), sensor triggering is ignored.
e. “Inner zone”: If the system is armed, triggering the sensor switches the system to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. If the system is armed in Perimeter mode (“Stay” or “Night mode”), sensor triggering is ignored.

If the system is disarmed, sensor triggering is ignored. f. “24-hour zone” (around the clock):
Regardless of the system mode, if the sensor is triggered, the system switches to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. g. “Delayed entry” (only for the delayed installation type) the time allowed to disarm the security system after entering the premises. h. “Delayed exit” (only for the delayed arming type) the time allowed to exit the premises after arming or disarming. i. “Delay for entry in Stay Armed mode” (only for the delayed arming type) the time provided for disarming the security system after entering the premises (when arming in Stay/Night mode). j. “Delay to exit in Stay Armed mode” (only for the delayed installation type) the time allowed to exit the premises after arming the Perimeter security mode (Stay/Night mode). k. “Intelligent Alarm Recognition” when enabled, the motion sensors within a security group form a single “smart zone” with an alarm confirmation function. When any sensor in the smart zone is triggered, a default delay (typically 20 seconds) begins; if an alarm condition occurs on any sensor during this period, if a sensor triggers repeatedly, or if the sensor remains in alarm until the delay expires, an alarm signal is sent to the security company. l. “Arming with a broken sensor” forced arming of a sensor even if it is malfunctioning, with options: “Forced arming after exit delay” if the sensor does not recover after the exit delay countdown, the system switches to “Alarm” and sends an alarm notification. “Forced arming when the sensor is restored” the system waits for the sensor to recover and then arms it. m. Special Settings: “Disable tamper” when enabled, the device will not respond if the case is opened. “Disable alarm when communication is lost” do not generate an alarm when communication with the device is interrupted.
Testing the Connection
WARNING: BEFORE PERFORMING THIS STEP, ENSURE THE DEVICE IS REGISTERED IN THE U-Prox SECURITY SYSTEM.
1. Launch the U-Prox Installer application or log in via the U-Prox Installer WEB portal. 2. Select a security center from the list.

3. Select the device from the list. 4. Start the test mode and choose a mode trigger test (to check sensor operation),
normal signal test, or Grade II signal test. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions. The light indicator will display signal strength (green
for excellent, yellow for average, and red for poor). To exit test mode, click “End Test” in the app. Note: The test will automatically complete 30 minutes after it starts.
Removing a Device
1. Launch the U-Prox Installer application or log in via the WEB portal. 2. Select the security center from the list. 3. Select the device from the list, click the “Uninstall” button, and confirm its removal.
Wireless Device States
The device displays various status indicators, including:
Main power supply normal Main power supply absent Device case closed Device case open Battery charged Battery charge level indicated Battery critically low Battery defective Level of radio communication with the security center No radio communication with the security center Zone bypass activated during protection
Service
The device requires minimal maintenance. Use a dry, appliance-suitable cloth to periodically clean the device case of dust and contaminants.
Replacing the Battery
1. Remove the device from the mounting bracket by sliding it upward. 2. Unscrew and remove the rear cover. 3. Replace the battery and reassemble the device. 4. Dispose of the used battery in accordance with local regulations.
