Product Usage Instructions

Installation

Selecting the Installation Location:

1. Carefully choose a suitable installation location considering the operational requirements and limitations.
2. Avoid outdoor placement, unsuitable humidity or temperature environments, high radio interference areas, and proximity to objects that may shield the signal.

Steps for Installation:

1. Register the device in the security system using the U-PROX Installer mobile application.
2. Select the installation location.
3. Install the mounting backplate.
4. Attach the device to the backplate.

Mounting Instructions:

1. The kit includes a backplate and double-sided adhesive tape for securing the device.
2. Mount the backplate using the provided screws and dowels.
3. Apply the double-sided adhesive tape on the backplate.
4. Place the device on the backplate and press firmly to secureB it.

Turning on the Device

1. Warning: Ensure device registration to prevent entering sleep mode after 30 seconds.

Settings

1. Download and install the U-PROX Installer mobile application for system configuration.
2. Launch the U-PROX Installer application or access via the web portal.
3. If needed, register as an installer or gain access as a security company installer.
4. Adding a Device to the Security System (Registration)
5. Launch the U-PROX Installer application or access the web portal and log in.
6. Select the U-PROX MPX device and go to Users section.
7. Select a user and choose Key fob for registration.
8. Hold the device close to the security center, press and hold the button to register.

Description

• U-PROX Button is a wireless key fob/button for controlling the U-PROX security system. It features one programmable button and an LED indicator that communicates with the security system user.
• It can be used as a panic button (attack signal), a fire alarm button, a medical alarm button, a key fob to confirm patrol arrival, for switching relays on and off, and for other functions.
• The button press mode is customizable, allowing you to define the type of alert or action transmitted upon activation.
• A mounting backplate is included for stationary installation. Note that the device works only with the U-Prox security system; connection to third-party systems is not supported.

• WARNING: THE DEVICE HAS A BUILT-IN BATTERY. REPLACING THE BATTERY WITH AN INCORRECT TYPE MAY RESULT IN FIRE OR EXPLOSION.

• The UU-PROX Installer mobile application is designed for setting up the U-PROX wireless security system. It is intended for both individual users and engineers of central monitoring stations.
• Using a mobile phone, the app allows you to perform full system setup – installing, testing, and calibrating wireless elements; configuring security groups; connecting to monitoring stations; and adding users with rights to control the security system via the U-PROX Home app.

Installer Web Portal

• The U-PROX Installer WEB portal is designed to configure the U-PROX wireless security system. It is intended for both individual users and engineers of central monitoring organizations.
• Using a web browser, you can perform the full configuration of the security system – installing, testing, and calibrating wireless elements; configuring security groups; connecting to monitoring stations; and adding users with rights to control the system via the U-PROX Home app.

Power Supply

1. The device uses a CR2032 lithium battery, which enables it to operate for up to 5 years on a single battery.

Indication

• The LED indicator displays data transmission and sensor activation. The following signals are shown during data exchange with the security center:
• Green – successful
• Red – not successful
• Green blinking – firmware update in progress

Installation

• Selecting the Installation Location
• Carefully choose the installation location for the U-PROX Button, taking into account the requirements for concealed installation and any obstacles that might limit its operational range.
• The device must not be placed outdoors, in environments with unsuitable humidity or temperature, in areas with high levels of radio interference, near objects that may attenuate or shield the radio signal (such as metal or mirrors), or closer than 1 meter to the security center.

It is recommended to install the device following these steps:

1. Register the device in the security system using the U-PROX Installer mobile application.
2. Select the installation location.
3. Install the mounting backplate.
4. Attach the device to the backplate.

Installation

1. The kit includes a backplate and double-sided adhesive tape to secure the device to the backplate.
2. Mount the backplate using the screws and dowels provided in the kit.
3. Apply the double-sided adhesive tape on the backplate.
4. Place the device on the backplate and press it down firmly to secure it.

Turning on the Device

1. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn on the device – the LED indicator will light up. If the device has already been registered in the security system, it will switch to standby mode.
2. WARNING. IF THE DEVICE HAS NOT BEEN REGISTERED, IT WILL ENTER SLEEP MODE AFTER 30 SECONDS.

Settings

1. Download and install the U-PROX Installer mobile application for system configuration.
2. Launch the U-PROX Installer application and log in, or access the system via theU-PROX Installer WEB portal.

If necessary, register in the system as an autonomous installer or obtain access as a security company installer.

Adding a Device to the Security System (Registration)

• Launch the U-PROX Installer application or open the web portal in your browser and log in to the system.
• Select the U-PROX MPX device to which you want to add a wireless button from the list of devices.
• Go to the “Users” section.
• Select a user from the list.
• Select “Key fob” to start registering wireless buttons and key fobs.
• Hold the device 0.5-1 m away from the security centre, press and hold the button for about 20 seconds, and the device will be registered.

Removing a Device

1. Launch the U-PROX Installer application or log in via the U-PROX Installer WEB portal.
2. Select the security center from the list.
3. In the “Users” section, select the user and click the “Customize key fob/alarm button” button.
4. Then click the “Delete” button and confirm deletion.

Wireless Device States

1. The device displays its status through the following indicators:

• Battery charged
• Battery charge level
• Battery critically low
• Battery defective

Service

• The device normally requires minimal maintenance.

Replacing the Battery

To replace the battery, you will need a thin-blade tool (such as a utility knife):

1. Remove the device from the backplate.
2. Insert a knife blade into the gap between the top and bottom of the case on the side opposite the strap. Gently release the latches by moving the blade around.
3. Replace the CR2032 battery.
4. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local laws and regulations.
5. To reassemble the device:
   1. a. Attach the strap to the pin on the top cover of the case.
   2. b. Place the board in the chassis according to the guides.
   3. c. Install the bottom cover with a 1.5 mm offset, ensuring it aligns with the strap.
   4. d. Press the cover down gently to complete the assembly.

Warranty

The manufacturer guarantees that the U-PROX Button complies with the parameters described in this manual when properly stored and operated.

• Storage warranty period — 6 months from the date of manufacture
• Operational warranty period — 24 months from the date of commissioning
• Delivery, personnel training, installation, commissioning, and warranty service are carried out by the manufacturer or authorized organizations
• In case of a defect caused by the manufacturer, correction is performed within 10 days  Warranty service is not provided in cases of:
  • Incorrect connection
  • Failure to follow this manual
  • Mechanical damage
  • Natural disasters.
• The manufacturer reserves the right to make design modifications that do not affect key specifications or reliability.
