STEP 1

• Make sure to first set up your Echo device.

STEP 2

• Power on your Tapo smart plug and get close to Echo. Go to Step 3 if your Echo or Alexa app notifies “New plug found”.
• Otherwise, refer to the reverse side for the troubleshooting guide.

STEP 3

• Once you’ve completed setup, you can use your Tapo smart plug with Alexa. Just say “Alexa, turn on First Plug”.*

*The name of the plug changes with the order in which it is added.

Troubleshooting Guide

Follow the steps below to manually set up your Tapo smart plug and enable Alexa voice control.

1. Manual Plug Setup via Tapo
   Open the Tapo app and tap the + icon to start the manual setup process.
2. Linking Tapo to Alexa
   On your Tapo app, go to Me > Third-Party Services, select Amazon Alexa, and follow the app guidance to complete the connection.
