Installation
Installation
Refer to the installation section at the beginning of the guide to install the device.
Typical Network Topology
Note: For Hardware Controller, a DHCP server (typically a router/gateway) with DHCP function enabled is required to assign IP addresses to the EAPs and the Hardware Controller in your local network.
Power On
Via Power Cord/Power Adapter
Connect your device to the power source via the power cord/power adapter.
- Via Standard PoE Device (If Supported)
Connect an Ethernet cable from the ETH1 (PoE IN) port of your device to a standard 802.3af or 802.3at or 802.3bt PoE device, such as a TP-Link PoE switch.
- Via USB Power Source (If Supported)
Connect a USB cable (not provided) from the micro USB port of your device to the USB power source.
Configuration
The device can be configured and monitored centrally via a controller. For details, refer to the manuals for the relevant product and controller.

Safety Information
- Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the device. If you need service, please contact us.
- Do not use damaged charger or USB cable to charge the device. (For products powered by adapters)
- Do not use any other chargers than those recommended. (For products powered by adapters)
- Adapter shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
(For products powered by adapters) - Keep the device away from fire or hot environments. DO NOT immerse in water or any other liquid. (For outdoor products)
- Keep the device away from water, fire, humidity or hot environments. (For indoor products)
- Do not use the device where wireless devices are not allowed. (For wireless products)
- The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. (For products powered by power cord)
- Place the device with its bottom surface downward. (For desktop products)
