User Manual

What's In The Box

Please inspect the contents of your shipped package to ensure you have received everything that is listed below.

  • Front Section: A 3.5' long section of the jib arm.
  • Middle Section: A 3.5' long section of the jib arm.
  • End Section: A 3.5' long section of the jib arm.
  • LCD Monitor Arm: An arm for mounting a monitor.
  • Weight Closers: Components for securing weights.
  • Weight Shank: A rod for attaching weights.
  • Tools: Includes wrenches and an Allen key.
  • Central Post: The main vertical support.
  • Bag: A carrying bag.

Assembling the Central Post

  • Place the central post on a stand [Not Included].
  • Insert the knob into the designated slot on the central post.
  • Tighten the knob to secure the central post firmly to the stand.
  • Using a [17mm spanner], loosen the bolt on the central post.
  • Remove the bolt and its washer.
  • Unscrew and remove the screw from the central post bracket.
  • Pull out the locking pin to complete the setup preparation.
  • The central post is now ready for jib assembly.

Assembling the Middle Jib Section

  • Open the Middle Section of the jib.
  • Place the middle section of the jib onto the central post and secure it.
  • Insert the screw into the jib.
  • Attach the washer and then the bolt to the screw.
  • Firmly tighten the bolt using a [17mm spanner].
  • Insert the locking pin into the slot.
  • Secure the jib firmly to the central post.

Middle Jib Section Assembly Continued

  • Remove the cap of the jib.
  • Using a [6mm Allen key] and [13mm spanner], loosen the bolt.
  • Remove the bolt and washer.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Carefully extend the jib to its full length.
  • Reinsert the removed screw into the jib.
  • Reattach the washer and bolt.
  • Tighten the bolt using a [6mm Allen key].

Assembling the Bush Setup

  • Remove the bush caps from both ends of the bush.
  • Using a [13mm spanner] and a [6mm Allen key], loosen and remove the bolt and washer.
  • Repeat the process on the opposite side.
  • Remove the screw from the bush.
  • Align the bush with the jib section and insert the screw.
  • Attach the washer to the screw.

Bush Setup Assembly Continued

  • Insert the bolt into the screw.
  • Tighten the bolt using the [13mm spanner] and [6mm Allen key].
  • Reattach the bush caps on both sides.

Assembling the End Jib Section

  • Remove the screw cap from the middle section of the jib.
  • Loosen the bolt using a [6mm Allen key] and [13mm spanner], then remove the bolt and washer.
  • Remove the screw from the middle section.
  • Attach the end section of the jib to the middle section.

End Jib Section Assembly Continued

  • The end section is attached to the middle section.
  • Insert the screw into the end section.
  • Place the washer onto the screw.
  • Insert the bolt and tighten it using the [13mm spanner] and [6mm Allen key].
  • Reattach the screw cap to secure the assembly.
  • Remove the cap of the middle section.

Assembling the Front Jib Section

  • Remove the cap of the middle section.
  • Remove all four screw caps.
  • Using a [6mm Allen key] and [13mm spanner], loosen and remove the bolt.
  • Remove the corresponding screw.
  • Attach the front section to the middle section.
  • Insert the screw into the designated hole.
  • Insert the corresponding bolt.
  • Tighten the bolt using the [13mm spanner] and [6mm Allen key].
  • Place all four screw caps back onto the assembly.

Front Jib Section Assembly Continued

  • Route the front section wire to the end section.
  • Loosen the turn buckle on the end section.
  • Loosen the turnbuckle on the end section and attach it to the front section wire. (Note: This wire is adjustable.)
  • The wire is now securely attached to the jib.
  • Insert the weight shank into the end section hole.
  • Attach the weight slide [Not Included] onto the shank.
  • Attach the weight closers to the weight shank. (Note: The weight closers rotate 360° and slide automatically into position.)

Monitor Assembly Setup

  • The weight closers are now securely attached to the end section of the jib.
  • Loosen the knob on the LCD monitor arm.
  • Remove the knob and attach the monitor arm to the central post.
  • Reattach and tighten the knob.
  • Tighten the other knob on the LCD monitor arm.
  • Mount the monitor [Not Included] onto the LCD monitor arm.
  • Tighten the knob to secure the monitor.

Final Setup and Information

  • The monitor is now fully assembled on the LCD monitor arm.

The Proaim 12ft Camera Crane Jib Arm is now fully assembled and ready for use. The assembled unit is shown with optional accessories.

Warranty Information

Proaim offers a one-year warranty on its products from the date of purchase. During this period, Proaim will repair the product free of charge for labor or parts. The warranty does not cover transportation costs or products that have been misused or accidentally damaged. All warranty repairs are subject to inspection and evaluation by the Proaim team.
