HOW TO MAKE A SQUARE OR RECTANGLE MAGNET BUTTON
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT YOUR WARRANTY
Please read these notes carefully before you use the manual machine.
Important notes:
- Never take machines apart.
- Do not use hammers or other tools to address issues you may encounter.
- If you encounter an issue, contact us immediately, and we will guide you.
- Physical damage to machines, machines taken apart or interfered in other ways will void your warranty, and repairs will require to be paid for.
PAPER RECOMMENDATIONS
- We strongly recommend paper under 42lb.
- If you use paper over 42lb, it may get jammed.
- Paper over 50lb may jam or damage the punch and require service and repair.
BEFORE YOU START
Install your machine on a flat surface. The button maker has two die stations, marked A and B on the base. Side [A] is the pickup die, which has a shallow recess that holds the shell, graphic and mylar. Side [B] is the crimp die, which holds the backing and closes the button.
PICKUP AND CRIMP DIES

- POSITION CRIMP DIE
Turn the die table so that the crimp die (B) is directly beneath the upper die. The pickup die (A) is now at the front, facing you, ready to be loaded.

- INSERT SHELL, GRAPHIC, MYLAR
Place a shell (any side up) into the pickup die (A). Then position the graphic on top of the shell and place the mylar over the graphic.

IMPORTANT
Ensure that you use only one piece of metal shell, mylar and graphic per button. If multiple parts are used in the machine, it will get jammed. - ROTATE DIE TABLE COUNTERCLOCKWISE
Rotate the die table counterclockwise so that the loaded pickup die (A) is directly beneath the upper die, until the table stop meets the outer column.

- PULL THE HANDLE
Pull the handle all the way down and then return it to its original position. This presses the shell around the graphic. The formed shell stays in the upper die.

- INSERT BACKING
Insert an unpinned back into the crimp die (B), now at the front. The orientation doesn’t matter.

- ROTATE DIE TABLE CLOCKWISE
Rotate the die table clockwise so that the loaded crimp die (B) is directly beneath the upper die, until the table stop meets the outer column.

- CRIMP THE BUTTON
Pull the handle all the way down again and then return it to its original position. This crimps the backing onto the button.

- REMOVE FINISHED BUTTON
Rotate the die table counterclockwise to bring side (B) to the front, then take out the finished button.

- APPLY THE MAGNET
Apply the self-adhesive magnet to the back of the button.

DONE! Your magnet button is ready to use.
