How to correct rudder malfunction on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

By default, in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 the rudder control of the aircraft is incorrectly configured to be activated by the throttle of the T.Flight Hotas One.
The guide below will instruct you on how to correctly configure this control to be activated by the twist movement of the stick in a few seconds:

Before starting, make sure you have installed the latest product driver on your PC (for XBox users, it is not necessary to install any driver). You can download the driver package at the following link:

On MSFS 2024 XBox versions, at the moment it is only possible to perform the complete control setup using a compatible mouse device.

Once the driver is installed, press the XBOX button to turn on its LED indication. It will allow the joystick to be recognized by your computer or XBox console:

1. Inside Flight Simulator 2024 main screen, click on settings and then “Controls”:
   
2. On left side, click over the device you want to map its controls, select the profiles as shown bellow and filter as Assigned:
   
   Now we will find the rudder control which we want to correctly assign to its twist axis.
3. Click in the field below the aircraft name to locate the “rudder axis” control by typing its function name.
   
4. When locating the function, click on the first rectangle to the right of its name. This will activate the “scanning” function:
   
5. Move the control you want to perform that function, in this case by moving the twist axis on your T.Flight Hotas One. In case you are using a TFRP pedal set, you can slide the rudder pedals.
   The game will detect the action and assimilate it for its intended function. At that moment, it will request a new name for your new profile.
   
6. The rudder function is now correctly assigned! The functions already assigned by default will keep working.
   You can repeat the operation for other functions in case you want to change the axis or button function. When finished, click “Go Back” and then “Save and Back”.
