Getting Started
Remove the RFX GATEWAY from the packaging and install the antenna on the top.
Tighten the antenna finger tight. Do not over tighten. Download the ThermoWorks App from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and follow in-app instructions to add your RFX GATEWAY to your account.
Instrument Operation
All settings and preferences are set and changed through the ThermoWorks App or ThermoWorks Cloud. You can set and adjust high/low alarms, reset max/min temperatures, rename the device, change units (°C or °F), adjust transmission intervals, and connect the device to your Wi-Fi network.
Battery Information
This device contains a built in, rechargeable, Lithium polymer battery(3.7V/2A). Use a 5V, 3A. USB-A adapter (one has been provided with the RFX GATEWAY, adapter input voltage is 100~240VAC) to charge the unit.
Transmission Interval Rate
Use the ThermoWorks App to set transmission intervals.

Red, slow blink Failed Wi-Fi connect or Wi-Fi connection lost

Cautions for Ambient Pro-Series® Probes
- The probe can be used in a smoker or oven.
- The cable can be closed in a refrigerator or freezer door.
- Do not pull on the cable. Use the molded mini-handle.
- The cable will withstand temperatures up to 700°F.
- The transition can withstand temperatures up to 644°F.
- Probe can be immersed in water. IP67 rated.
- Clean probe by wiping with damp cloth and kitchen cleaner. Can be immersed but do not clean in a dishwasher.
- Avoid repeated kinking or twisting of the probe cable which can break wires.
- With care, the probe should last a long time. Eventually you may need to replace it. Affordable replacements are available. Use only ThermoWorks Pro-Series Probes.
