2 – TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
* IMPORTANT: It should be noted that the room heating capacity depends to a large extent on the thermal insulation of the apartment (energy class of the property) and on where the appliance is located in the apartment. The values indicated can therefore be subject to considerable changes.
** NOTE: the values given were determined using beech logs (2 logs) with a lower calorific value of 15,604 kJ/kg and a moisture content of less than 15%. If wood is burned whose properties are less favorable than these values, the consequences are lower efficiency, less power and more residual ash. In addition, the glass pane of the loading door becomes more dirty. ***
It is strictly forbidden to add more fuel than that indicated in the table. Damage resulting from the appliance being exposed to high temperatures for a long period of time is not covered by the warranty.

3 – GENERAL DESCRIPTION
3.1 THE FUEL
Normal logs with a moisture content between 10 and 20% and a calorific value of 10,400 to 16,400 KJ/kg should be used as fuel. Beech or hornbeam wood is recommended. If wood with a lower moisture content or a higher calorific value is used, the stove will produce more heat.
Knowing and using the right fuel is one of the most important aspects to consider for the correct and long-lasting operation of the appliance. In this regard, it is recommended to use only dry, well-seasoned wood. We advise against using wet wood or wood that has been stored for less than 18-20 months. This could lead to malfunctions and the formation of tar, which permanently blackens the walls of the combustion chamber.
We recommend using logs with a maximum length of 330 mm (recommended maximum cross-section Ø 80 mm).
A maximum of 2 to 3 logs may be loaded at the same time. Alternatively, it is possible to load a 500 mm long log (recommended maximum cross-section Ø 80 mm).
MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE LOAD:
THERE MUST BE NO LESS THAN 1 HOUR BETWEEN TWO FIREWOOD TASKS
ADDITION OF HIGHER FUEL AMOUNTS OR MORE FUEL LOADS IN ONE HOUR EXPOSES THE APPLIANCE TO VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES. FOR THIS REASON, THE WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER ANY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM EXPOSURE TO SUCH HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME.
If fuel that does not comply with the above specifications is used, or if other substances or fuels are used, the warranty for the device will immediately expire. The device must not be used to incinerate waste. The use of all liquid and gaseous fuels is prohibited. The device must not be overloaded with excessive amounts of fuel. The specified maximum consumption must be strictly adhered to.

The appliance, particularly the combustion chamber door, becomes hot during use: be careful not to touch any surface. Your appliance has been given the EC marking. The product must not be used by children, people with reduced mental or physical abilities and people who are not informed about the use and maintenance of the product (the instructions are contained in this installation, use and maintenance manual). During the heating and cooling phases, the appliance expands or contracts due to heat, which may cause slight noises. This is a normal process and in no way represents a defect in the product.
WARNING: The door must remain completely closed during operation. During operation, the smoke pipes can reach high temperatures. Be careful, do not touch them. It is strictly forbidden to use liquid or gaseous fuel to light the appliance. Do not place any non-heat-resistant, flammable or combustible objects near the appliance: they must remain at a reasonable distance from the stove.
Do not use the product as a drying rack for clothes. Drying racks must be kept at a reasonable distance from the oven. When the product is first switched on, the varnish will dry, so it is normal for a slight odor to be present. It is recommended to ventilate the room until it is completely dry.
5.1 TURN ON
The following procedure applies to firing up the device:
1. Fully open the primary air by moving the lever (D) all the way to the left (see figure below).
2. Fully open the secondary air by moving the lever (E) all the way to the left (see figure below).
ATTENTION: BEFORE LIGHTING THE FIRE, ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE FIREBOX GRATE IS FREE OF ASH ANDCOMBUSTION RESIDUES.
3. Open the firebox door and add small wooden strips, which can then be lit using paper or other commercially available ignition materials (see illustration below).
THE USE OF LIQUID OR GASEOUS SUBSTANCES SUCH AS ALCOHOL, PETROL OR SIMILAR TO LIGHT OR RELIGHT THE FIRE IS PROHIBITED.
4. The oven must not be left unattended until it is fully lit (which takes about 30 minutes) and when there are numerous embers present.
5. After the ignition phase is complete, close the combustion chamber door.
ATTENTION: THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER DOOR MUST ONLY BE OPENED FOR LIGHTING THE FIRE, ADD FIREWOOD AND REMOVE RESIDUES. DURING NORMAL OPERATION THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER DOOR MUST REMAIN FIRMLY CLOSED.
ATTENTION: THE FIREBOX DOOR REACHES A VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE DURING OPERATION.
THEREFORE, BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH IT. IT MUST ONLY BE USED WITH THE CORRESPONDING POKER INCLUDED IN THE DELIVERY.
5.2 REFILLING FUEL
It is an intermittent combustion appliance that must be fed by adding wood. When there is embers in the combustion chamber, i.e. when combustion is in full swing, the first filling is carried out as follows:
1) Open the firebox door slowly to avoid the escape of smoke. Then extinguish the embers with the appropriate Distribute pokers.
Please note: It is forbidden to light the fire or add fuel when the fire bed is thicker than 3 cm, as this would prevent the appliance from being used correctly.
2) Place one or two logs parallel to each other as shown in the figures below. Their weight must not exceed the value shown in the table below. They must be placed in the middle of the grate of the combustion chamber.
3) Slowly close the firebox door using the poker provided.
4) Adjust the primary and secondary air levers according to the table below:
5) To rekindle the fire, clear the air flow openings of ash. This improves combustion. Add more wood only when the previous wood has burned up or turned to embers. Slowly open the fire door of the firebox and place the logs in an orderly manner on the bed of embers.
Finally, close the door slowly.
5.3 RULES FOR SATISFACTION
The maximum consumption specified must be observed. The stove must not be overloaded by using too much fuel, as this could result in damage.
THE WOOD MUST NOT BE THROWN INTO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER, BUT MUST BE PLACED SLOWLY. IF THE WOOD IS THROWN, PARTS MAY BE DAMAGED, WHICH IN THIS CASE IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
- The device must not be used for waste incineration. The use of liquid and gaseous fuels is prohibited.
- Strictly follow the operating instructions in this manual.
- Always check that the fuel introduced into the combustion chamber ignites as intended. Always make sure that to avoid the build-up of unburned gases. Larger quantities of such built-up gases can develop a pressure that overcomes the mechanical resistance of the glass and the oven components. In this case, no liability is accepted.
- In adverse weather conditions such as low pressure, windy or rainy weather, as well as in high outside temperatures, the draught may decrease or a reverse draught may occur in the chimney. In these cases, the exhaust gases cannot be completely extracted. In this case, the primary air supply must be increased. In addition, smaller quantities and smaller pieces of fuel must be added to get the draught in the smoke channel going again. If you smell smoke in the room or notice that the smoke gases are accumulating in the combustion chamber, you must not use the appliance.
6 – CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
6.1 PRELIMINARY REMARKS
To ensure that the device always works properly and is at its best, the steps described below must be carried out. It is recommended that you follow the prescribed schedule.
If the product is not used for a long time, it is mandatory to check that the smoke duct and the entire chimney are free before using it again. The following instructions must be followed precisely: Failure to do so could cause serious damage to the product, the system, property and the users of the device.
Warning: Do not allow the device to get wet or touch it with wet hands. Do not vacuum up hot ash: this could damage the vacuum cleaner used. All cleaning operations described in this manual must be carried out when the device is cold.
The operator must clean the appliance himself or have it cleaned by an authorized service center at regular intervals, as described in this manual. It is also advisable to have the functional status of the smoke duct checked annually.
6.2 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
EVERY TIME YOU ADD FUEL:
Allow the ash to fall through the holes in the grate. The combustion chamber grate must be carefully cleaned by allowing the ash to fall through its openings; air must always be able to flow freely through the grate of the combustion chamber.
Use the poker included in delivery for support.
EVERY TWO DAYS or WHEN NEEDED:
– Empty the ash pan. It is recommended to empty the pan regularly and avoid letting it become completely full. Vacuum the combustion chamber with an ash vacuum.
EVERY 6 MONTHS:
Activate the Smoke By-Pass device and clean the smoke duct with a cleaning brush as shown in the photo below:
– Clean the smoke circulation thoroughly with an ash vacuum cleaner.
AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR:
- The smoke channel must be cleaned. If there are horizontal sections, ash and soot deposits must be identified and removed before they block the flue.
6.3 CLEANING THE GLASS
The glass panel may only be cleaned when the device has cooled down, using dry, non-abrasive cloths and gentle cleaning agents.

7.1 PRELIMINARY REMARKS
7.2 VENTILATION OF THE ROOMS
CAUTION: If induced draft fans or other equipment are operated in the same room as the product, problems with the operation of the product may occur.
CAUTION: Neither the ventilation openings nor the air inlets of the device must be closed.
It is essential that the room in which the appliance is installed has a sufficient amount of air to ensure the supply of combustion air to the heat generator and ventilation of the room. The natural air supply must be provided directly through permanent openings in the external walls or through individual or shared ventilation ducts.
The ventilation air must be taken away from sources of pollution.
The wall openings must meet the following requirements:
- they must have a free flow cross-section of at least 6cm² per kW of installed heat load, the minimum cross-section is 100cm²;
- they must be designed in such a way that the opening entrances, both inside and outside the wall, cannot be blocked;
- they must be protected by grilles or similar systems without reducing the open cross-section;
- they must be located close to the floor in a place where they do not interfere with the correct operation of the devices responsible for the evacuation of combustion products. I
- the openings cannot be located in such a place, the open ventilation cross-section must be increased by at least 50%.
The previous chapter should not be understood as replacing standards UNI 7129, UNI 10683 and EN13240. The professional installer must in any case be in possession of the above standards in their most recent version.
7.3 SMOKE EXHAUST
7.3.1 CHIMNEY TYPES
The following definitions apply to the construction of the chimneys:
- System: chimney with a combination of coordinated components (inner pipe, insulation, outer casing, etc.) manufactured or specified by a single manufacturer and CE certified in accordance with the relevant standard;
- Composite chimney: Chimney installed or built on site from a combination of coordinated components such as inner pipe (wall in direct contact with the flue gases), possible insulation and outer casing (wall), which can be supplied by different manufacturers or from a single source.
- Intubation: A specific smoke duct made of non-combustible material is inserted into an existing duct (even if it is of recent construction), which is free and used exclusively for this function.
7.3.2 COMPONENTS OF SMOKE CHANNEL / SMOKE GAS SYSTEM
To do this, follow the diagram. The above is essential to remove ash and unburned components that may accumulate along the flue. The various connectors are
with red silicone (which can withstand temperatures up to 350°C).
The duct must be lined with heat-insulating material (rock wool, ceramic fibers). Alternatively, pre-insulated pipes can be used.
THE SMOKE EXHAUST MUST ONLY BE USED BY THE APPLIANCE.
All sections of the flue gas duct must be inspectable and removable for internal cleaning.
ATTENTION: If the flue is not sufficiently insulated or is too long, condensation may form. It is recommended that a condensate drain be installed near the smoke outlet on the appliance. The appliance must only be connected to a single flue system that serves only this appliance.
If the heat generator is connected to a smoke duct system that does not comply with standards, there is a possibility that the device will quickly become damaged due to constant overheating: in this case, the defective components are not covered by the warranty.
IN THE EVENT OF A CHIMNEY FIRE, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU IMMEDIATELY CLOSE THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AIR LEVERS AND CALL THE
