OWNER’S MANUAL
This owner’s manual provides vehicle-specific information that may vary by features, configuration, market region, and software version. For the most up-to-date guidance, use the Manual app on the vehicle touchscreen and review Release Notes after software updates.
Quick Setup & Use
- Open the latest Owner’s Manual on the touchscreen: Touch the app launcher, then select the Manual app.
- Check Release Notes after a software update: In the Manual app, select the Release Notes tab (or touch Controls > Software > Release Notes).
- Restart the touchscreen (if unresponsive or unusual): Shift into Park, then hold down both steering-wheel scroll buttons until the touchscreen turns black.
- Calibrate cameras for first-time/after certain service needs: Drive to complete the self-calibration process (typically after 32–40 km; distance varies). Follow the on-screen progress indicator.
- Clear camera calibration (if camera calibration needs to be reset): Touch Controls > Service > Camera Calibration > Clear Calibration.

For the latest and greatest information that is customized to your vehicle, view the Owner’s Manual on your vehicle’s touchscreen by touching the app launcher and then selecting the Manual app. The information is specific to your vehicle depending on the features you purchased, vehicle configuration, market region, and software version. In contrast, owner information that is provided by Tesla elsewhere is updated as necessary and may not contain information unique to your vehicle.
RELEASE NOTES
Information about new features is displayed on the touchscreen after a software update, and can be viewed at any time by choosing the Release Notes tab in the Manual app, or by touching Controls > Software > Release Notes. If the content in the Owner’s Manual on how to use your vehicle conflicts with information in the Release Notes, the Release Notes take precedence.

Troubleshooting
- Touchscreen is unresponsive or behaves unusually: Restart the touchscreen only when the vehicle is stopped and in Park. Shift into Park, then hold both scroll buttons on the steering wheel until the touchscreen turns black.
- Brake system alert indicators: If the touchscreen displays a red brake indicator (other than briefly at first start), it indicates a brake system fault or low brake fluid—contact Tesla immediately. If an amber brake booster fault is detected, apply steady pressure and keep the brake pedal firmly pressed to stop when safe. If the ABS indicator lights up at other times, an ABS fault has occurred—contact Tesla; braking distances may increase.
- Tire pressure / TPMS fault: If the tire pressure indicator flashes due to a TPMS fault, contact Tesla.
- Automatic Blind Spot Camera warnings: If enabled and a vehicle is detected, a vertical red bar appears on the relevant camera image. The source also warns this does not eliminate the need for attentive driving and shoulder checks.
- Self-calibrating cameras for Self-Driving / Active Safety features: If calibration is not complete after driving 160 km in the described conditions, contact Tesla. If cameras shifted (e.g., camera/windshield replaced), clear calibration via Controls > Service > Camera Calibration > Clear Calibration.
