Product Usage Instructions

Automated Testing

Prior to integrating the MK-29 Transceiver into a finished
product, ensure it undergoes automated testing to verify proper
functionality and compliance with FCC RF requirements.

Antenna Compatibility

The MK-29 is certified for use with antennas meeting specific
criteria: Nominal impedance = 50Ω (151-155MHz) and Antenna Gain
< +7dBi typical.

Integration Testing

After integration, conduct RF testing on the finished product to
confirm proper connection of the MK-29 Transceiver to its antenna
and power supply.

FCC Licensing Information

The Telonics MK-29 Transceiver is FCC Part 95J type accepted for
use on MURS frequencies without the need for an individual license.
It operates on MultiUse Radio Service (MURS) frequencies as per FCC
rules.

Labeling Requirements

Ensure that any product containing the MK-29 meets FCC labeling
requirements, including placement of the FCC ID in the user manual
of all finished products.

FAQ

Q: Do I need a license to operate the MK-29 Transceiver on MURS
frequencies?

A: No, MURS radios are licensed by rule, and individual licenses
are not required to transmit on these frequencies. For more
