Prerequisites
To configure and test the DeepWave Relay Alarm System you need:
- Relay Alarm System device with power supply
- CD with Software Brainboxes Boost.IO Suite 3.7
- TSLog21 program version 1.3.2.0 or later installed and configured
- Browser FireFox
- Port 9500 open on the network
Configuration
- Connect the Ethernet cable and power to the Relay Alarm System.
- Launch the Boost.IO Manager program on your PC using the provided CD (BrainBoxes Boost I/O Suite 3.7).
- Press the F5 key.
If you don’t see your device, check the Ethernet and power connections.
- Note the IP address assigned to the device (for example 192.168.1.254).
- Open the Firefox browser and type the IP address you just noted.

- Make a note of the Mac Address to know exactly which device you are modifying, in case you have more than one. The Mac Address is located at the top right, MAC, and is written on a label on the device).
- Select Network.
- Select Assign Static IP Address and fill in the IP address with a free IP address on your network, fill in Subnet Mask and Gateway Address appropriately. Press Save. Wait 20 seconds and remove and reconnect power to the Relay Alarm System.
- Type the new IP address into FireFox. If the page opens then the change was successful, otherwise repeat the procedure.
- To configure the operation of the button select IO Lines.
- Configure the fields as in the example and click Save.
Test
- Start TSLog21 configured to connect to a Helios.
- Log in to the program with an Administrator user.
- Select Archive→Alarms→Alarm configuration →Methods→Relays and press the Test button.
- Type the IP address of the device to be tested.
- To activate the relays, change the state of the relevant control (Relay 0, 1, 2).
- The Get button allows you to obtain the current status of the relays from the module. To verify the correct functioning of the button, activate a relay and press the button to verify that the relay is reset.
Alarm configuration on TSLog21
- Start TSLog21 configured to connect to a Helios.
- Log in to the program with an Administrator user.
- Select Archive→Alarms→Alarm users.
- Assign a name to the user and write “ED038:[Device IP address] in the Email field.
- Enable it by using the button below the Email field
- Click OK and reopen it immediately after.
- Assign the Alarms for which the relay must trip in the Alarms box.
